You guys did great. Again thanks for the help last Sunday in Pomeroy getting my skis pointed the right direction after my first series of post covid jumps.
Maybe we'll need to road trip to Priest Lake to see the West Coast Ice Oval Championships. Went to Tollgate last Saturday to take care of a couple foot dump of snow at 46 degrees.
Hey FlyingW we missed you at the Western Finals... Competition has really stepped up!
Kolbie, two firsts, one second, fourth, and a DNQ (Stock 440)
Janet one third, the other two classes I think a fifth and an eighth?
Plumnuts... a second and a third.. and I can barely walk!
We loaned Kolbie's 440 to Jim Smith and he won the Senior's class... I was the first loser behind him
That was an impressive weekend for you considering the amount of people racing. The PlumNuts crew had their hard work pay off. Congratulations!
This Saturday is bucket run on Dayton side. I'll be ones of the stops. I think I'll have Gary and Joe helping me if all goes as planned. Gary is 83 now and I don't know if I've recovered enough to keep up with him yet. He is amazing but talking about quitting snowmobiling after this winter.
My stop last year.
Then Sunday is the Pomeroy bucket run. If their snow holds out may take in that one also. All start at 9 am.
Well I am actually pretty excited about the 2023 cats. I need to talk to the wife but seriously considering sno checking depending upon the price when they come out.
We put the snowmobiles away... we were racing at the Odessa 100 Motorcycle Race this past weekend (we only had to do one 50 mile loop) "only"
Kolbie and her dad
Rock climb... pictures just do not show how steep this was...
Kolbie getting her check in time and shortly later, her "I Finished" T-shirt... it was not an easy route... dust was unbelievable... I did not hear our check in time...
Rough day for the riders that don’t call Diamond home. The theme of the day was lack of attention to detail.
The first casualty came from a cat rider. After his new pull rope came untied in Pomeroy in February and had to be repaired on the trail. The poor cat never had the bolts re-tightened thus lead to it falling off today. It was unable to be repaired on the trail this time.
The next casualty came from a doo rider. Said rider failed to negotiate training camp and got stuck on the hill. This only required the skills of a finely tuned cat pilot to mitigate the problem.
Next was another doo rider pictured above. They failed to realize that only cats can climb trees and that doos just go thud.
Next was the cat turned doo rider. The doo didn’t make it a mile up the rode before it was running on one cylinder. The claim was that the spark plugs were original from the fall of 2017. It limped back to the trailer. It probably need taken to the back forty to be put out of its misery.
The last was cat turned doo rider turned turbo doo rider. His brother was gracious enough to go home leaving his turbo doo for his brother who had already broke a cat and a doo. The ironic part was that the low oil light came on a mile up the road.
The brothers apparently don’t understand the concept of preventative maintenance.
Just remember CB.8 that I spent most of the winter doing maintenance on my body. Remember couldn't get my snowmobile started by myself and needed oxygen. Really just glad to recover and be alive this year.
I didn't get out of bed for 10 days and even with this high flow setup I couldn't get enough oxygen. One more day and I'd been on a ventilator.
Early in the season I needed oxygen to run my skid steer and help to get in and lock the bucket up to slide out as I couldn't even climb out. Thought this was going to be my only kind of snow time.
Now we are getting good snow just for me to enjoy because I missed the early season snow.
Have a great day as I continue my maintenance on me this year.
