The 2011 Yamaha Snowmobiles......

Dear Yamaha

Thanks for the last few fun and reliable seasons on your Mountains Sleds. I regret to inform you that after 4 great seasons it is time to buy a new sled. Since there is no more mountain apex and no 150+hp sled you have left me deserted in the snow. Since 130hp is your top of the line model I regret to inform you that I will be buying another brand. You will have a chance to have me return in 4 or 5 seasons when and if you are making a competitive model. Thanks for the fun ride and Artic Cat will thank you for my money.

I am sure the big new grafics will wow everyone in 2011. I was so stunned and shocked that mmmmmm I will buy a new CAT.They atleast understand hp sells.

This is good news for those of us that would have spent the cash for a new one. My wife is pumped, this is the longest I will go without buying a new sled.
I was so pumped that I ordered a new 174 3 inch track for my Apex today. Anybody want a good deal on a 174 x 2.5??????????

Just one more reason to put Forced Induction on the one you have now!!

I cant believe you guys are shocked by this, Yamaha has always been a very conservative company.

Would you rather they come out with a high strung new motor that isn't ready for production and have endless problems? (like polaris)

There is one other problem, I think its called "recession".

man just cant get enough traction huh lrt me know what you want for it.:beer;
i wasnt expecting anything new economy still pretty rough fine by me i have enough power already.:face-icon-small-hap

I want to go to Yamaha real bad! But if this is best they are going to offer i will stay on my polaris dragon for the time being. They just dont seem to under stand what we want or dont care. I will still have fun reading on your web site as you mostly talk about fun stuff. On the dragon side it is all problems. DARN

The Nytro's are a great sled, and can make more HP than most people could possibly need. Yamaha is already the 4 stroke snowmobile leader, why would they need to bring out anything new. The 2010 162's are a great sled out of the box, I rode one boosted a couple of weeks ago and loved it. :face-icon-small-coo

I couldn't agree more. Lets be real...Yamaha owns the segment they are in. Its not trail, mountain, race, its 4 stroke. If you want a 4 stroke, Yamaha is the clear choice. If you want a sled that owns the mountains out of the box...go buy a Cat. If you want you want your cake and to eat it too...BOOST UP and quit complaining.

The 153" nytro stays the same. The 163" went down $400. The Phazer mtx went up $400.

Why'd the phazer go up? That's the segment that needs lower pricing. :face-icon-small-con

Side note: Identical 2010 models all have rebates on them. $1400 for the nytros and $400 for the phazer. Try to find one of them if you're buying new.

(Canajun pricing.)

What a joke! Pretty sad that the top of the line mountain sled you offer is 130ish hp. Thank god for the aftermarket or this company would be a joke in the mountains.

go for it. you can come back after you rebuild the motor 5 times ill still be riding my nytro!

I was disappointed with the lineup, but i'm pretty sure there's another release coming for 2011, Yamaha is producing the MT09 ski's, but they aren't on any model they have released so far.

What's heavy as hell, discontinued, and needs a big fat wide unreleased mountain ski to stay on top of the snow? A 2011 Apex Mountain....

How hard would it have been to stick the Pro Mountain Air skid from the Nytro under it with a Camo exterme16 X 162 X 2.5 under it. I'm sure the Nytro is fine, I just am not a fan of the FX chassis either the Phazer or Nytro and have ridden both.
