that time of year again... chains, which ones 2 or 4 wheel??

I usually chain all four, the front drives on these newer 1/2 tons look to be really wimpy, just like a front wheel drive car. I just recently changed out the hub bearing assemblies in my 98 1/2 ton dodge and the wifes 03 bonneville, they looked almost identical. So, If I just chain one axle it's the rear. I hardly ever use chains on the road, but off road I use them alot.

bringing this back to the top to help others, and to gather more info. looking to get a set of cables for the trailer after last years close call. i am torn between ordering a new set of trailer tires and wheels prestudded, or just ordering a chain set for the trailer. ski

I run studded sipped tires. And i ahve a set of chains for when it gets bad. Chains work real good plowing. It allows you to push the piles alittle more.
