Thank you snowmobile riders!

REALLY

Hmmm, used to snowmobile (still does sometimes...must be one of us) now skins around the backcountry, used to dirt bike but switched it out for his mountain bike? Are you guys really still drinking this genius's kool-aid? And the reason I say genius is that his only goal here is to provoke and promote infighting between the very people who we consider our fellow riders...and he has accomplished it. Mark my words...he just left Uncle Ulies with a smile on his face headed over to sing karaoke at the PO while counting the 3 petchulie skunked up dollar bills in his pocket and rollin a Bavarian blunt. He is laughing at you with every post and yet you continue to attack EACH OTHER.

WOW...REALLY:hurt:

Mulder called... he wants his paranoia back..

Promoting infighting? I guess if it is between the people that ride wilderness and think it is ok and those that don't and think it is wrong, then I welcome it.

Beaver Cleaver called... he wants his naive innocence back..

I can hardly believe that anyone could read all of Randonnee's posts and still believe that he is motivate by good intentions. He came right out and berated sledders for leaving 10 ft between rigs when parking, and said there was nothing wrong with skiers parking between them. He just started his 4th thread with the same pathetic whining about the same exact subject (and the same passive-aggressive threats). How many threads does he have to start, *****ing about the exact same subject before people realize that his behavior is borderline sociopathic. He is obviously getting off on stirring up crap.

Thank you Gordon

Yesterday we rode the Navahoe, Three bros, Mt. Earl area. It was a great day of riding as always. At about 1:30 or 2 we spotted a group of 3 skiers skinning up the ridge to the top of Earl. They had come in through Stafford Creek and were attempting to 'flank' us. They perched up on the summit and photographed and watched us with binocs. They had a long walk for nothing because as usual there were no tracks beyond the boundaries. We sat for a while and would photo them everytime they poped there little heads up to spy on us. They rode off of the SE side of Earl, which is the most exposed slope in that area(s#itty snow) and I am sure they were very let down by the fact that we were not breaking any rules. If they came there to enjoy themselves they sure picked a strange route, and if they came to keep this little tif moving forward they did not get what they came for. Either way I had a great day. Snow is hardening up even at 6500+ and the trail is melting out down low so this is it for this year. See ya up there next year.

Great that snowmobile riders are interested in respecting Wilderness and Closed Areas.

Here is Rando's quote from that topic (I like how he "told" us):

Backcountry:

Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:57 pm Subject: Welcome Pass and snowmobiles
I made a post over at snowest.com One of the large(r) snowmobilers forums to tell them to knock it off. Its a stretch that the guys who actually rode in the wilderness also post, but someone might know them. In all actuality the snowmobile community is pretty good about policing their own with a little bit of internet shame. Ive only ridden at Bearpaw once and didnt get very far past that as it was an epic deep day- its amazing country up there. Sure hate to see it get closed up.

Google maps is a bit misleading because it shows Mt Baker National Forest, but until I got deep enough into schroders mytopo did I see the wilderness area. Hopefully with some more and accurate information the 'bilers will play nice."

Your statement has nothing to do with the link you posted. The link is nothing more than skiers complaining about snowmobilers and how they should be punished. The link & the alleged riding has already been discussed numerous times in previous threads. Please do a search and reply to that post if you have a comment on its content.

I'm sure anyone in the forum would not mind have a mature, intelligent conversation on how to preserve to rights of ALL winter enthusiasts. Links to posts like that, followed by an obvious sarcastic comment do not help.

As I've stated before, This is a volatile topic, and always will be, but we as winter enthusiasts need to step up and rationally discuss it. I don't fault either side for getting heated in their discussions. But baiting people by using inflammatory remarks and name calling on both sides doesn't do anything to solve the issue, it only further divides all of us who love recreating in the outdoors in winter

I don't think so... it should be pretty clear when I am going for an insult. Like if I were to say you were a dumb redneck hillbilly and you should stay away from your goats for a little while and talk to some real people, that would be an insult. Just trying to be clear. LMAO.

Anyways, no insults were meant here, just seems like everyone is using Randonnee as a person as to which they can express all their anger towards. Yes skiers piss us off, snowmobilers do to. Snowmobilers that give a black eye to the sport and don't care about their actions and how they effect the sport piss me off even more.

Nope, probably not. Are you a fan boy? If you know who I am yet I don't know who you are, aren't you the one hiding behind the computer?

Anyways, you want to ride next weekend? I will buy you a beer afterwords and we can discuss this topic then as well.

I would say what I have stated on here and more. Probably talk more crap to you like I do with my friends and they do with me. Lighten up, this is the internet.

Ruffryder,

Glad to know you weren't trying to insult. And no, I'm not a fan of yours. Quite the contrary.

I can't/don't agree with about 99% of everything you say/write on here. (This would be why I didn't introduce myself when I met you in person, cause I really have no intereset in meeting or getting to know you based on what you spew on here)

And... I guess you missed my point but, thats ok. You see, yes, this is the internet and contrary to what you seem to believe, things that are stated on here do have meaning. (This is a rather important topic as the mod has previously stated. There are strong emotions related to it from both sides.)

You seem to have nothing really important to add other than giving regular users on here crap for giving the skier on here crap during a time when people are frustrated.

With that said, the other point I was trying to make, and as Rando has just learned, is that, even though this is the internet, your not an anonomous entity. If I were (which I'm not so you can sleep easily at night) a delusional individual and I really didn't like what your saying and I thought that you insulted me, I wouldn't have a problem finding you and discussing this with you in person. I do hope (sincerely, not sarcastically) you don't learn this the hard way some day......

So long folks. Thanks for the good discussion. Some folks are kind of touchy, the goal was the discussion. Above I was referring to the previous post that stated "no tracks across the border," that is great. Also I was trying to illustrate that various folks are aware of this issue.

My wife and I have been following this. It is probably enough now, I should move on.

Thanks to snowmobile riders who obey Closures and respect Wilderness.

It isn't that type of fan club, and you would fit right in.

LMAO, so you are the one that is hiding behind the computer? Dude, there are lots of people that I agree with and that I don't agree with, doesn't stop me from being friends with them.. just means we have a different point of view on subjects or as some like to call it, OPINIONS. Don't be afraid to share yours, even to my face.

Never said they don't have meaning, but a conversation on the interenet should not have the same emotional response as the conversation in person. Otherwise I would expect to see a lot more parking lot fights about 2 stroke oil.

agreed, there is nothing more to add. Snowmobilers should stay out of the wilderness. So I can't give crap to those that give crap to other people? Is there a 1 crap level restriction?

Nope, I am not anonymous, anyone want to meet me for a beer in Fall City, let me know. Though, the Celtic Bayou in Redmond has good ciders...:face-icon-small-hap

Rando- thought you were smart? you should never post a picture of yourself on a public forum...if you plan to cause trouble! Nice work Uller! Wanted posters have been made. Rando, drives a 2005 duramax likes geology books and small woodland creatures!:peep:

I sure hope everyone else follows by those rules.

Your not packin' into the bar are you? Cause that would be illegal..........

Oh, did a little research: Fanboy - 2. A pathetic insult often used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like.

Interesting.....

Most do, but the crazies don't...

You should of introduced yourself, because I don't think you have a clue of what I am saying..

If that is how you want to define it, that is cool. I do have a special fan club, though. There are some people that love me soo much that it comes out like they hate me. Kind of weird, isn't it? There are only a couple of members, and most of them moved to the "other" site, except when they come back over here and give no thanks to my posts... lol silly dastardly..

BTW, only heat I am packing is my "swinging cod", or minnow if it is cold out. :face-icon-small-sho

Anyone want to play name that movie for the words in quotes? I will give the winner a beer. :face-icon-small-ton Except if it is Uller, he gets apple juice. lol
