Thank you snowmobile riders!

Just wanted to throw some positive and appreciative words out here! Snowmobilers this past week obeyed (new) signs which designate no snowmobiling in the Tronsen Non-Motorized Area. Hooray, and thanks!

Randonne - I read every post on your 2 previous threads. Didn't post any comments myself as I see no need to force my opinion on others.

But, I did learn a few things. I had never heard of Randonne skiing, but saw it on your profile and read up on it......

Reading between the lines, you and Newtrout have given me some ideas of new areas to ride that are legal. When up there, I'll keep an eye peeled and do my best to ensure our riding areas stay open......Hope to meet you on the trail some day. Keep up the skiing, it's good exercise.......

Rando-

**EDIT**

I sense bad karma finding it's way to you.......

** EDIT **

I sense bad karma finding it's way to you.......

This thread was posted to say thanks that snowmobilers obeyed USFS Closures. I ride snowmobiles, I own three of them, I have owned snowmobiles since 1989, ridden since before that. I use them to seek out backcountry skiing. my posts here have asked snowmobile riders to ride in areas of lawful access,eg stay out of Wilderness and Closed areas.

What is up with the last statement-do you wish to threaten me?

As far as threatening 'you and your kind.' I have tried to reach out to illustrate for snowmobile riders here that problems of snowmobile Wilderness Trespass are known to exist and have been observed for years. For several years many, including me, have witnessed snowmobiles riding in Wilderness. We have reported it to USFS. I have been employed in the distant past by USFS, many USFS folks are my neighbors and acquaintances. USFS has funded Enforcement and done some focused education and Enforcement. My experience is that when I discuss this with USFS, USFS employees describe to me accurately where snowmobiles are ridden in Wilderness, many USFS folks tell me of their own observations- they know. This is no secret, Wilderness is routinely and widely trespassed by snowmobiles.

I do not know what will happen, I am working to encourage USFS and the Sheriff ORV Deputy to try to correct this problem.

Again, perhaps I am the only person silly enough to talk of it here, but this issue is well and widely known. My stated goal has not been anti-snowmobile, it has focused on snowmobiles staying out of Wilderness and Closed Areas. Thanks for your comment.

So long, until later, out of here.

no one should sled in closed areas..gives us all a big black eye and forces even more closures upon us all, Respect others even if they dont respect you...in the end your respect will make a difference......

Curious I guess...... You sound just like him 3 sleds, nurse, live in Leavenworth, hang out at the Leavenworth ranger station more than most employees and a avid backcountry skier who likes to stir things up a bit. I can count on one hand how many guys fit that profile!

Hey Puffy Chest (Rando) self proclaimed protector of the virgin snow in the wilderness ...you have more than made your point and have over stayed your welcome. You go from thankful to Puffy chest within a few posts as always. Quit looking for a way to start something with others..that has been your MO priviously.

99 percent of us agree that you should not ride in the wilderness that is so pathetically posted in this State. The one percent that do, dont care about you or what you have to say and 99% of that one percent probably are not on this forum.

With that in mind why are you even here again. It was so nice without you. do the numbers 9268 E. ring a bell?

I left what I thought were the important points that we should discuss Rando.

1. Don't wish to threaten you on this forum. I now know where you ski/ride and if I wished to threaten you I would do so in person. Not via the internet like others on here (Rando).

2. Your on a SNOWMOBILE forum stating that your trying to curtail snowmobiling in certain areas and that you do and will turn in anyone you think is breaking the law. Really????

3. You sir, are anti-snowmobile just based on what you have written on here, but (big but) you own snowmobiles...... Kinda sounds hipocritical to me. I just hate hipocrites. They are the scum of the earth.

4. Just for the record, I used to ski. Have hiked/skinned up many mountains prior to buying my sled. Never saw a snowmobile in the mountains until I was riding one. Seems to me that you try to find the areas where there might be some overlap just so that you can act like a hall monitor and try to get others in trouble. I greatly disagree with that. Makes you out to be nothing better than a big pile of horse dung.

5. How about you just go back to your own Forum (or wherever you go) and mind your own business. If I wanted to read about enviro nazi BS from people like you there are pleanty of other web sites to go to without having to read it here. (To the moderator that edited my post: I am not the problem, your letting him spew his anti-snowmobile BS on a snowmobile forum. I simply asked him if he would like it if I were to go to his place (forum) and act like he is acting here.

I find it rather interesting that you would comment on my post (for the first time, I might add) which includes both "hiprocrite" and "enviro nazi BS".

Enough said.

I will start caring what you say when you start posting under YOUR account.

I find it interesting that the dude gets attacked for saying thanks to people not riding in wilderness. :mmph:

The wambulance should come out here... lots of people crying about the evil skiers....

Sticking up for him? What am I sticking up for? Do you even know what we are talking about??

3. You sir, are anti-snowmobile just based on what you have written on here,

From what I've read... he doesn't appear to be an ANTI-SNOWMOBILER dude.. seems like he's an anti-snowmobile in wilderness dude.
