hahaha too funny! I was driving through that pass a couple winters ago towing sleds....a punk azz snowboarder came flying down the mountain. I know he saw me, and tried to jump over my trailer. He bounced off the side of it. I was only going like 35 or 40, but if I could have stopped I think I might have thumped the sh*t out of him!

Too bad you couldn't have stopped and caved his head in:mad:

Yeah MPS, reminds me of a time I was coming back to IF in my suburban with my boy and some yahoo was turned sideways in the road with his pickup and trailer! I'd of stopped and thumped him too, but he had a crazed look in his eye and what appeared to be a .45 on his hip!;)

Oh yeah, and when you gotta go, you gotta go!

LOL, never thought of pulling to the side:confused:

Looks like he's got a 2wd and there's snow on the shoulder. At least there aren't many people around at midnight.

Years ago I had to go, and I mean go. There was no where to pull over so I figured I'd keep on rolling and just fill up a snapple bottle. Somehow my body knew this was a bad idea and I had stage freight, even though I was the only one in the car. I don't know what I would have done if the snapple bottle didn't have the needed capacity!

I was out flying over the San Jauns west of Friday Harbor and the Snapple bottle didn't have enough capacity. Pinching it off suck's @ 1500'

Teton Pass is closed to trailers in from November 1 to April15 now.

Probably 15 years ago, we had no snow in Grand Lake , CO so we decided to head up to Yellowstone.

We looked on the map and thought we would drive into West through the south entrance. Easy enough right?

Of course we now know that the south entrance is closed in the winter.

We then looked at the map and thought we would just go over the pass with our trailers. Better than a long detour.......

We see a few signs that say "no trailers between blh, bla, blah and blah blah blah"

How steep could it be anyway?

Well we made it up through a blinding snowstorm just fine. The way down though was another matter.

I have never been so scared in my life. For 15 miles my antilock brakes never stopped pulsating. There were a few switchbacks where I was afraid we would not make the turn.

After we made it down and cleaned out our shorts, we finally made it to West.

Man that was aweful!
