tekvest or...core saver?

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
I have been looking at getting a tekvest for riding this season. But my mind can't help but look at other protective gear out there. I am torn between a tekvest or Sixsixone's core saver. What would you guys suggest between those two or would you suggest something even different?
thanks

I wear SixSixOne Pressure Suit but, i would not recommend it yet.

B-Wear is what i think im gonna wear next season. so...B-Wear :)

Look at our site and call me to order. Best riding vest money can buy for comfort and protection.

The riding season is too short to sit out with an injury!

Just got my tekvest in today... fits great.

Now if only i didn't get screwed by an idiot realtor and have the lender deal expire or whatever... i'd have a new sled on teh way... but because imma need a credit report ran again, no sled till that happens :(

I got a tekvest and loved it!!!!!!!! It is comfortable, supportive, warm... Thought it was great ~ ~ ~ until... I had to help get sleds unstuck (including my own) on Sunday. With not having broad shoulders and having a fairly average bust; my vest really limits my forward range of motion and leverage - to be able to grab a ski with BOTH hands and give it a good pull. It doesn't allow me to bring my elbows close enough together.

If I didn't just shell out the money for this one - I would go with the BWEAR... hey Rob - wanna let me demo one up here in AK??? ;)

Bwear

You can see and learn about the product by going to our website clearly linked below. The retail cost is $249 and I always offer a SNOWEST forum member and show special of $200 plus actual shipping. I am the US Distributor and model designer of most current version that doesn't have plastic on the outside back (I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT IDEA). Each vest is hand manufactured in Quebec Canada and comes with removable upper arm protection. These vests are one of two in production that meet or exceed ISR standards. Coming from a racing and daily western mountain riding background we designed this model/vest with protection in mind first and foremost. Without sacreficing comfort by engineering in wide adjustments for various torso shapes, open arm cut for maximum arm articulation, lower back neck line for helmet room, a padded zipper protector for frontal impact, and they are also dry cleanable and easily repairable in the event of a tear or serious damage.

Anything less is a scary sacrefice. We have experienced almost a 95% sales success rate directly against KLIM and Tekvest when tried on by people at the snowmobile shows. Our vest is designed to be more comfortable, flexible in fit and function, and provide better 360* torso protection then our competition. All that with a better price. When you put one on under your coat, add a ride ready backpack, and go try it out you will feel the difference in these products. Have a serious impact and you will FEEL the difference in these products. Hopefully you'll be ok enough to select a better choice next time!

F-Bomb,

No offense but the pictures you have on your web site make it hard for a guy to see the fine details. Do you have any other pics. I don't want anything that is to thick. I was about to order a Tek vest today but would like to see this before I order.

Thanks,

Sap

I have a Tekvest Trail Pro model and really like the vest, and has saved me several times. I tried on a B-wear vest at EXPO a few years back but didn't like the fit over the shoulders, I know they have since changed them.
As for finding the vest restrictive when digging my sled out or helping another rider out I don't feel restricted. I'd buy the one you like that fits you the best, if I would buy another vest it will be a Tekvest.

2+ years on the TekVest from Klim and i absolutly love it. Not restrictive at all, never felt a pinch, tightness etc. To be honest i never even notice its on till i hit something or launch over the bars, then think thatnk fug i was wearing it. It breathes super good, doesnt make you sweat, very comfy shoulders for wearing a back pack etc. No complaints, if i was to buy one again it would be the exact same thing.

3rd season with a tekvest and never ride without it. Once i got used to it don't even know it's on. Went over the bars in 96 and broke two ribs, sternum, two collapsed lungs, and a bruised heart.

Sap How about a one time special deal, test, try, then you buy. Call me and order up... wear it a few rides to break it in and get used to it...if you don't like it I'll buy it back from you including the shipping. It's the best vest on the market bar none. Best fit, best function, best protection. Only thing we can't compete with is bling. These guys wearing some of the other stuff out there are going to get a sad awakening when it really comes to serious "CRUNCH" time!

If you are willing to sacrefice protection for flex and bling go with the non sanctionable KLIM sweater vest. Meeting meticulous safety standards for protection is no different in vests then it is in helmets. You guys wearing non dot or SAE skid lids? Yep you do just fine 99% of the time in a bump or rub. It's the other 1% of the time we are also covering!
