Team clutch outer sheeve exploded.

My Team TSS-04 clutch just exploded into about 10 pieces!! The outer sheeve just let go inside my engine bay. Anyone ever seen this on a Team clutch!! I rode about 8 miles in on a trail, hit a few powdered hills then boom! It clocked my primary a good one and its missing a few pieces as well. Here are a few pics.

And of course my primary had to be hit as well.

WOW!...that's crazy! How old is the clutch? Never seen one come apart like that before.

I put it on the sled new back in 2006. But, here's the odd part, its only got about 1,200 miles on it.

Lucky one of the pieces didn't come through the panels and hit you! Never seen one like that before.

I emailed Team Ind and they called me about 4 hours later saying they will replace the TSS-04 for free. I just have to send the broken clutch to them. Good people.....Thanks to Team Industries if your listening!

What about your primary? I have noticed spider web cracking in my teams before but figured it was just the mold

if they get hot enough from belt heat, it can weaken the aluminum, might be a possibility over time..that does suck for sure...glad you didnt get hit with shrapnel....

Ok, that is dang standup of them. Never been a big fan of TEAM clutches, but that right there sure impresses me about how they do business.
