Target RPM 800

Going to make some clutching changes on my 09 800 rmk this weekend what is the ideal rpm for that motor, stock ,pcv, slp can. I was thinking 8250 is that right?

PEAK DYNO #'s vs. REAL WORLD #'s

Jim at DynoTech has peak hp and torque @81 to 8150 with a SLP pipe and PCV.

As a GENERAL rule of thumb, you want to shoot for approx 250 R.P.M. higher in the real world that what the dyno shows, I forget the exact reason, something about the dyno "catching up" to as the motor is accelerating.

Hope this helps

The real problem is that we don't know how accurately the tach is calibrated. However, most real world testing seems to show that these motors work best when the tach reads 8250-8450.
