Tampico first ride!

Pics from today's ride with 94fordguy. Snow is getting thin but they say more is on the way. Was good to make sure the new turbo setup worked, but we really need some snow to load the track to create some more boost, plus I couldn't stay on the gas for very long because I had to avoid the rocks.

Quick little video from the trip... not much snow, but we found a fun little spot to spend a couple minutes!

Ah so that was you in that group. I'm with the other group in your shot. The snow looked inviting but I know very well what lurks beneath, and your buddy found out soon after that shot.
It was definitely a good first ride. Just need the snow to keep coming.

We unloaded at tree phones. A couple did at whites ridge but real thin. We took the south road through the logged area. The road was real good about a mile out....well until we were headed back and the wheelers F'd it all up. Oh well, a few more weeks and we shouldn't have to share anymore. Can't complain when your riding in November in Washington.

We rode section 3 and it was better than I thought, awesome day for more break in miles on my sled, not enough to cross over to the Tampico side. We did trailer up a ways from Pinegrass.

I thought I recognized your truck in the parking lot at Tree Phones! I don't recall what you ride, but I have Snowest stickers on the windshields of both of my sleds now... Don't be afraid to say hi if you see me up there. We escaped the day with no damage to any of our sleds, though there were several light bumps felt under the snow throughout the day!

The most stressful part of the day was when some kid on an M7 rolled his sled over after getting stuck above us on that little hill and before we could move out of the way, his sled got away from him and started rolling down the hill at my new sled. Thankfully it only grazed the ski tips and everything was fine... though I was a little shaky after that episode!

I've got the Pro with the skull wrap and my son usually is on my black 09. I will keep an eye out for you next time!

Geeze, that's great for you folks over in the Yakima area. 7000' ft is some serious elevation! No wonder you guys always have some of the earliest season riding. I may have to come over soon and get a rip in with the locals!
the 7k at darland is way different than 7k in other places. It snows an assload on darland and it seems 7k everywhere else in the state it so damn windy that it blows it right off of 7k and down to 6,000-5,000 where everyone rides lol Darland can get nasty, but nowhere near as nasty as other places in the state at 7k (Adams, Baker, Van Epps/Anne)

Not uncommon to see rocks showing on the road to Darland, but that just means that just to the east is a deep pocket.
