Let's post the latest conditions and details of your latest riding adventure here.

Report For Sunday 11-25-12

Went up the middle fork today, pulled out a stuck Chevy in the Tree Phones lot as we arrived, then had to give Snodawg a little tug too while we were getting turned around. You're not going to get anything bigger than a 2-place open up to treephones at this point, and the snow line begins about a half mile past the whites ridge lot 4 miles up and there was about a foot at Tree Phones.

Snow was hard as spring snow from Tree Phones to Eagles Nest, then softened up a bit in the trees and on the east facing climbs, which were deep and soft enough to have some fun climbing on!! Super Bowl was ALL tracked up even though there was only about 3 ft or so up there, but base was actually pretty good... we really didn't have to worry about hitting anything all day:bounce:

Though there were a couple technical difficulties, it was a pretty good first day, and the weather was beautiful till about 3:30 when the clouds rolled in, we headed down at 4:30

Half way to Eagles nest on the sidehill climbs

Any updates?

Hoping for good snow

Heading there in the morning, itching to put some miles on the new sled!

can we get a 4 place enclosed to where the snow is. want to try and be there by 10 am. thanks

A little late now, but I would NOT tow an enclosed of any size past the White's Ridge parking area, the snow started about 1/2 mile up from there last weekend and there's nowhere to turn around between there and treephones.

No snow in the main lot, it stars about a mile down from tree phones. We parked in the small lot on the left a couple miles from the main lot. I wouldn't take a trailer of any kind past this lot. Good snow on top enough to play in if you are careful. It's all pretty tracked up now so going to need a dump before it is good again. All in all it was a great shakedown cruise for the new sled today.

Thanks for the pictures and video. Its nice seeing someone else on the 900 for a change. Nice day to start the season. Where is this at? st Helens? Mt Adams??

Thanks, I love my 900... never getting rid of it either!!!

Riding was around Darlan Mountain, Ahtanum Ridge, Tampico.

:beer;

First 2012/13 ride

Rode Tampico today. Was able to drag the two place up to the small parking lot just below tree phones. Was 34 when we unloaded in a sprinkle. Got to eagles nest in light snow showers. Rode off the trail most the rest of the day. Mixed rain and snow below 6000'. Snowing up higher but still very wet. Plenty of good snow cover was very heavy and wet. Call it building a great base. Next foot should make it real good. Even though conditions were less than ideal still was able to put in a fun 25 mile shake down ride. Loaded out at 43f in a pretty good sprinkle. Why is it every year I feel like I'm in great shape and am ready to go rip it up and every year the first day tells me I was dreaming after the first four hours of riding?
