Taking over a snowcheck questions

This is way easier than you make it. Have the original guy pick it up and pay for it , register the warranty in his name , then after all that just buy it from him , sure the warranty will be in his name all season but any dealer is going to honor it, then as before find a good dealer not that one if what you say is true.

I just went and did this on the weekend and what the dealer is telling you is true. but all I did was take the guy to the dealer with me for him to sign the papers while I gave the pretty girl all my cash.

after the 120 days I can phone and have the sled transfered into my name which isn't important anyway, you can still get warranty no matter who owns it. also it's only on polaris's files that the sled belongs to him, you just get a bill of sale from the person on the bill on the snocheck stating he sold you the sled.

quick easy and simple. if you cant take the guy with you, get him to phone the dealer and tell them you will be picking the sled up for him and have his permission to sign for him.

Really glad this worked out for you, hate to see people end up with the chitty end of the stick. Have a great winter with your new sled.

I took over someone's snowcheck last year and it was smooth as butter. I picked warranty package (took 2 years and $600). We left the warranty in the original owner's name and registered in my name. A dealership can make it work. Good luck

X2. I did this with the sled I picked up last week and my 08 Dragon. But my dealer is a good guy. Sounds like your dealer is a dick head. Sorry
