Has anyone put an 05 liberty 800 engine in to one of the older rmk sleds ? and if so can i use the cdi box from the 03 800 will it by pass the det sensor. any input would be great! thanks

Question is why would you want to bypass the det sensor? Use the 05 cdi box and you will also need the wire harness from the 05. If that's not an option and you have to run the harness off of the 03 you will most likely have to run the 03 head.
Is the 05' head higher compression? Seems to me you could just not plug in the DET sensor of the 05' head, then run the harness & CDI off the 03' if that's the only option. Would this not work? I might be missing something.
Regardless, I too would make an effort to run the 05' CDI/harness with DET protection.

Depends in part which 03 rmk he has. My escape had det and er. So that cdi box was only good for that one model. 04 poo started using a different det sensor and the wiring was different as well. The heads are all the same other than which det sensor if any is in them
