Suspension rebuild and affordable 08-09 skid update to 2010 skid

Deaner, what track length are you? Our '10 154 was a wheelie king when we started out.....limiting what you could climb and having to turn out from excessive ski lift.
With the rear scissor brackets added, limiter strap in stock (3rd) hole, front skid spring very soft (that's important!), rear spring on #1 (220lb rider) and ski springs set soft (#1-2), this thing will climb a wall....very little and controllable lift and allows you to attack the steep stuff....and this with the Camo extreme hooking up a little harder than the stock track.

Yeah Paul, its a 154. Im 230 without gear. Limiter strap is stock. Rear spring was on 2 but it was WAY too soft. Have it on 5 now and it still seems soft but at least the back of the sled will come up a little bit when you push it down, Ski springs are set on stiff cause I like to jump. The only thing I have to check on is the front shock to see if I have it loosened up. Maybe my rear spring is bagged?

Our 10 154, stock springs and the scissor brackets is VERY stiff, even on softest setting. It is stiffer on 1 w/brackets than it was on 5 without.
Something sounds goofy. Perhaps the springs are sacked from being run too stiff???

the soft stock rears will sack when a larger rider is bottoming them constantly.

a faded shock with dead oil and sacked spring Deaner is a biotch to tune..

I have some 1.78's with less than stock preload , and I have them with more than stock preload.

We had the for snox ,, used to mix and match to achieve what was needed.

hey seeyacop - you have a report on this suspension correction or what?! How's it ride compared to a similar stock 08/09 xp?

The sno-x track 6 miles up and back to Baker have put a hurt on my adrenaline shocks. Looking to figure out a solution in the near future. What to do, what to do?

The suspension is so much better than it was before its not even the same sled anymore. I can hammer the bumps and it feels great, plus it still climbs well and maneuvers in the trees well. I was thinking about adding the scissor brackets too but have not decided yet. I did notice the front end coming up a little more than I remembered before the mod and the scissor brackets are supposed to help with this. I also might stiffen my rear springs from 3 to 4 and see what that does.

Gus did a great job getting the valving correct on my shocks. Its plush in the initial stroke but when you take a big hit it soaks it up. My buddy running the same set up really likes his too. Overall I am extremely pleased with the rebuild and the front skid shock mod.
