2006 RMK 900 that is surging on light throttle. doesnt seem to be RPM related though always lower RPMS seem to take off then back down so on. at heavy throttle runs great. I just got this machine and have only ridden about 2 hours on it. initially seemed to run fine. Then I adjusted TPS and idles much better and reverse works well. I usually run at 9,000 feet and up. I checked the TPS with analog ohm meter and sweeps smoothly. TPS took me 1 hour to adjust to get to the .710 volts. it would jump from .8 to .6 just by tightening the screws, PITA. Plugs are new NGK BPR9ES. compression is good and equal, though I dont recall the number right now. has SLP pipe and intake and torque line head and 1,000 mile on motor from previous owner. Cleaned exhaust valves and has yellow springs. Temp runs low but seems to bounce around, one second its 95 then next its 110. never over 120 though. No bleeder on the coolant and no thermostat so i put it on the tilt trailer to bleed the coolant multiple times.

I have a new fuel filter that I am going to install, any other thoughts.
also I'm not sure how to check the REEDs

Thanks
Bill

Also previous owner replaced the TPS harness. Could this go bad again?
Love this sled but really want to ride it now.

if the temps jump around like that and there is no air in the system I would think the coolant temp sensor could be faulty
water temp should not jump around, its a steady climb or a steady decline

checked the TPS last night and was .971V. backed the idle screw out and checked again and got .887v. So I am going to try to reset it again,
