I installed MPI Stage 1 Supercharger on my 2010 Nytro 162. What do you guy's think about the prologger gauge? What do i need to do to increase POWER? Any help would be much appreciated.

If you want more power, change the pulley ratio.
Call MPI and they will send you a new upper and lower pulley with more teeth on the bottom and less on the top.

But if you go more than a couple PSI your going to have to start looking at fuel delivery as well

I've got an AEM wideband on mine and an Autometer liquid filled boost gauge.

I had an AEM boost gauge on at first, thought it would be easy to read being digital, but found I was having to stare at it pretty hard to see it, so I switched to the analog gauge.

Much easier now.

I eventually would like to get a water and supercharger oil temp setup, but I'm not in a hurry because it works right now.

How much did your gauges cost? MPI recommends Prologger but its big and $700
not sure if thats the way to go.

Aem wide band O2 sensor is about 200 bucks off Ebay. A good quality boost gauge is about 100 bucks.

300 bucks will get you what you needs, no need for a prologger. Eric

Where do you mount 3 separate gauges? Do you have any pictures?

2 gauges, wide band air/fuel gauge and boost gauge. I made my own bracket. This was on my Apex. Eric

Zero lbs of boost :)

Sold the supercharger and Apex this summer. I ran it at 10lbs of boost.

Switched to a Pro after 20 years on Yamaha. Eric

Did you run 50/50 race gas or pump gas? I might get a pro for all the no snow days.

I ran pump gas, BUT I ride at 10,000ft +

Its funny you say you might get a pro for the low powder days, I thought that too. Reality is once you ride a pro for a day or two you never want to get back on the yamaha. I know, been there done that. lol Remember, this is from a 20 year veteran of yamaha only. I put enough money into 2 different apex's I could have bought 4 brand new pro's.

4-stroke boost is fun, and it will put a smile on your face but it flat wears you OUT!

Eric

Im sure the PRO is a nice light sled. But when there is 4 feet of heavy powder i will be happy on my boosted nytro's. Just purchased a MPI 180hp turbo for my 2011 163 nytro.

That mpi turbo will walk away from the super. It'll be interesting to see which one you like. After having both I say turbo hands down for overall. The super has its days but that's only the hard pack days.

I cant wait. Hope we have lots of snow this year. How does your 180 kit compare to your Impulse?

It doesn't. Kind of hard to compare 17lbs to 7. However, I think if you put on an intercooler and ran it at 14lbs it would be a heck of a lot closer for a ton less money. The Impulse is pretty wicked. A whole different animal.

If we get some early snow you'll have to give it a try before I sell it.
