Supercharged Nytro

We have a bov kit avaiable for high boost applications wich increases mpg and lowers intake temps. We are in develoment with a bov on low boost as well. If you have any other questions please call me at MPI 888-649-4609 ext 121 , Thanks Skyler

What do you consider high boost for the apex. I am running stage 2. I thought you guys were always against the BOV. What has made you change your mind? Do you see engine longetivity as a plus with the BOV or not really? Will it be less responsive with the BOV? I would like to hear your newfound reasons for using one after all these years of saying no way.

Yes stage 2 applications. Driveability is the reason we decided to go with a blow off valve. We had tested many bov that did not work like we wanted them to. We now have found a set up that works realy well. We also can control boost with our prologger with our bov. Same throttle response. It's alot easier to ride a sled down the trail going to the hill at 16psi than 20+psi. We are seeing better mpg and driveabilitly out of the machines. We are seeing 10-20 degrees coolant temps and 20-30 degree blower oil temps as well. If you have any questions please call me here at the shop 888-649-4609 ext 121, Thanks Skyler

You can control your boost with your prologger set up and BOV. I would like to have this set up. Can you turn down your boost to 10 psi with a stage 2 and up to 20 psi.

Thanks Bret.

Worst case scenario wide open deep powder day.. Stage 1 super charger.. can you you do 50 miles on a tank? 65?

In my experience, no.

I've run out of fuel in the 30's on a wide open powder day. With lots of groomed or packed trail you could do 50 miles. I've found the key with a s/c is to carry extra fuel no matter how short of a ride you have planned.

All depends on the thumb. So far my S/C apex gets better mileage than my freinds SRX700's. I can get 50 miles easily. Looks like 70 and not to concerned about getting back to the truck. I did install a Vortech BOV though.

fuel milage

If you are talking about mpg, depends how heavy of a thumb you have and if your in deep powder and what kit you have also what kinda of boost your running. If you need more info please contact me here at the shop 888-649-4609 ext 121, thanks skyler

I have a MPI super charger on a 2005 vector...one of the first ones they sold. I live in the EAst and ride in Quebec and was on my own with clutching and tuning. I chose the 3 cylinder for lighter weight and fuel economy. Started out by properly breaking in the engine for 500 miles, then added the super charger. We trail ride 250 mile days so mpg was an issue. stock this sled got 17-19 mpg. We played around with boost and settled on 7 psi, which got us about 190 hp, nice for a trail sled. It made lots of torque right out of the whole so we put an AAEN four -pro clutch up front with Polaris weights and engaged the primary at 2400rpm, very low , but it hooks up nicely with out blowing the track up. We went with a team industries secondary because they are reliable and easy to adjust belt height, I dare anyone to line up against this sleeper in a drag race with a mach-z or anything stock, it simply hooks and leaves you sitting way behind quickly and you can ride it all day. If you are Joe Racer you could probably get the fuel mileage down to 11 mpg, but if you are riding 55 to 75 mph on the trails all day long you will get a solid 14 to 15 mpg...if you are grand dad going 40 mph I bet you would get 17mpg. Now as far as reliability....I have 8500 miles on this kit without 1 single issue....I am not kidding....simply amazing!!
