Summer Fun.

Went to Eureka last week end, I couldn't belive the amount of snow for June 1. Old man creek had a giant snow bridge that broke sunday, and the Little Nelly had more snow/ice than I have ever seen in 20+ years of riding there. It was like riding on a glacier. And a ton of caribou...good times.

Have you guys ever thought of doing some "big" summer trip on snowmachines? Like ride from Anchorage to Palmer on Knik river? Or something shorter, but water skipping? I think it'd be fun, do it right, seal the hoods, have buoys tied to the sleds, and boats with winches to help out. Is anybody interested?

A bunch of guys in Nebraska do that every year up the north platte river, looks like a blast. Maybe the little su, lot less salt and silt.

that should be fun lets set something up didnt we have some race @ big lake some time ago it would be nice to bring that back i bet some turbo boys would love to show off ........TURBOTIM-HYFLYER-AKNITRO-REMMY-I would love to take my 2 stroke out .............how about u guys.

I am in! How about August 23/24? It's kinda close to my Bday and I was going to have a kegger at our place but celebrating close (on, by, under) to water sounds good too. Are there any rules when it comes to motor vehicles on water?

A kegger, water skipping, boats with winches.....Hell Ya ! I'm in ! Would like to see if my old SKS 500 can stay up. Does anyone have advice on water skipping and a good place to practice?

Im in as well, but Ill volunteer for safety/emergency stuff. Ill take my Jet ski. I can also hold several cases of beer...errr, SODA on the trip in the front storage for anyone wanting a cold one if they sink thier sled, haha.

Paul, waterskipping is pretty much like climbing a steep hill...dont let off or youre screwed, hehe.

So, who is interested to get together in August? It would be nice to meet more people from 4m before winter. We can meet in Big Lake for some water fun and a snowdance (any suggestion on a good campground?).
I will probably have a bonfire and a keg in our place on August 22nd and will need some help to empty it. I know everybody is busy with summer activities, but winter in around the block (hopefully).

I'm game. Rocky Lake might be nice. Many of the new sled flicks will be coming out around that time. If someone can pitch in a generator, I'll bring the big screen for some outdoor movies under the stars.
