Stronger motor mounts

Is there a greater chance of cracking the engine brace tabs on the heat exchanger if I put stronger motor mounts in the sled?? I ordered new stronger motor mounts and now I'm worried the aluminum tabs will crack and wreck my heat changer...Any thoughts???

Personally

I'm doing the brackets. already have my tabs cut off and PTO mount complete.

Stock sleds with stock hp and stock motor mounts have cracked the heat exchangers. Stiffer ones may make it worse. Our engine bracket kit eliminates this possibility.

Im doing it call EVO. they will hook you up after I put poly mounts in (do not put poly mounts in vibration is bad) I decided to get the Evo brackets and Evo mounts!!!!

I've smelled belt since day 1

So this what I started with and what to expect when doing this job.

PTO mount

No eccentric is installed on this side! I did do the OSP eccentric on the PTO upper bolt to get the c-c nearly perfect.

Mag mount

I installed the 0.070" eccentric and no OSP eccentric to this side.

Had a little trouble

When the Mag side bracket was installed the bolt hole wasn't aligned or square, so I modified it to make everything go together nicely. Obviously no two sleds are the same.

Aligned

I'm happy with the outcome. I'll get the secondary shimmed for parallelism and set the belt deflection with the EVO belt and let'er rip! I'll keep ya posted.

Looks good

Should work well Bendy - I've done the same to my M1100T, although mine wasn't out that much. Once you decide to run more hp (even without a belt blower), beefing up the chassis is a must, and taking weight off the heat exchanger is a no brainer - I still wonder what the hell A/C was thinking when they used the heat exchanger as a load member... thank god for the aftermarket.

Very nice job and I'm sure guys appreciate the pics. I don't really have the time but I always wanted to. It's a lot of work as you now know. Most dont understand and it's a lot to comprehend.

For those that don't know we stock all the OSP parts for this work, have stocked Jim's stuff for a couple years. I have Jim making a 3/4" eccentric mount and washer now too. Could have used it a couple times.

Thanks Gene

Its sure nice to have a dealer in Alberta that is on top of this... and has the parts on hand. I wish you were closer. I'm treated good buy my local dealer, but it seems like they're out of the loop on this stuff? Looking forward to taking it out and trying it. I love to see pictures so thats why I posted them. It helps a person's confidence knowing some guy did this in his garage at home. I do have alot of tools though. Other than a welder to fix the Mag bracket. Most of it can be done with simple hand tools.

Pics

Good job.
I've been wondering just what this job looked like.
Thanks for the pics bendy.
