Stock tip for the day...................

Bought 5000 shares of Ford when it was $1.21 my only regret was I didn't buy more. ALOT more!!!!

NO F'n $hit...... I had money ready to go for this and my f'n financial guy talked me out of it..... sometimes the advice needs to be 2nd guessed

That's funny you say that because when I bought mine I had to remind my broker he worked for me and he better do his research because buying Ford that cheap was a no brainer IMO.

They weren't asking for anything and they didn't have their company leveraged to the max. Like I said before my only regret was I didn't buy more, aaallllot more.

So did you sell it when it got to 5?? It looks like it is at 3.78 now.

I would have been on here bragging if I'd have sold at 5!
But I would have jumped back in at 4:face-icon-small-win

I still think it will be strong.

Look at it this way, Europe's economy is in the sewer, ours is near depression, The largest oil spill in history is right off our US coast (with no end in sight), wars in Iraq & Aphganistan, uncertainty with Iran & North Korea, top it all off with an administration that is spending money like a sailor on shore leave.

I'm pretty happy that C has only fallen as far as it has.

Sorry, wasn't trying to kick you were it hurts.... It sure is interesting times these days..

Had to be a correction period at some point in time. I think in the long run the stock will turn more bullish as time goes on.

My F took a good hit should have got out at 14 ow well got out a tad lower still made 86% on that one :face-icon-small-hap

At least your honest about it. You should have said oh ya i sold it at 5 and then shorted it down to 3.80 HaHaHa

mafesto - watching you type "x" amount increase per share makes my eyes bleed.....its all about percentage, nothing else means much

I buy/sell Cat damn near every 1-3 days, always has been a heavy mover, be its up or down it is always seeing a good +% or a good -%

Others i trade:
- apple
- home depot (not so much lately)
- key bank (keycorp)
- ford
- qualcomm

etrade is nice and the iphone app works great:face-icon-small-coo

for every stock that goes from 36 bucks to 60 bucks in a short time there are a hundred fold mining exploration stocks that go from 36 cents to well past 60 cents during their summer drilling programs..yep i know which ones...but i only tell my riding buddies who bring the beer and pull me out when im stuck

too much rick with a "mom n pop" operation, BP is about as solid as it gets

rick is silly when you're moving around big money

I think i made a post to pick up C stock and WFC when they were cheap. Citi was under a buck at that time. WFC was around 13... People acted like i was crazy.... Good buys for sure.

WAMUQ was a fantastic, cheap buy that you could pick up alot in volume when it was .09 a share, then jumped to .47 a share 3 hours later. Just as long as you was smart enough to sell it at .47 a share :-)

i see divx jumped a bunch today also.. sleeper.

WTF is going on with the stock market??

NYtimes blog...

Shares in Citigroup briefly plunged as much as 17 percent on Tuesday afternoon, triggering a new circuit-breaker mechanism that halted trading in the bank’s shares for five minutes.
The culprit appeared to be an order of 8,820 Citi shares priced at $3.3174 early Tuesday afternoon, well below where the stock was trading, according to Bloomberg News. That order was canceled.

So an order was put in for low prices and that caused the stock to drop? I thought this was a market system... This just leads me to believe that there doesn't seem like any point in having ANY money in the stock market...
