I had to grind down the spindles when I installed the A arms. They would bind at full turn. Is this normal? They're the 39 inch ones.

The 17 spindles are thicker than the 16s. I had a feeling this would come into play with aftermarket a arm manufacturers changing specs...

Yep, been that way for years and years now, idk why they cant make a product that fits without having to use a grinder

i just installed a set of 39" arms with stock spindles and exit shocks today. i did not see any spots that came within 1/16" of touching the spindles to the arms while the suspension was fully extended and steering turned both ways. am I missing something?

Great, just got mine delivered last week. Putting them on a 2016. . .

In regards to the Z-Broz 39" front end

Typically with the weight of the sled on them, there is enough clearance. Assuming you bought their lenght Exit Shocks as well. Where the rubbing is most pronounced is the stock shocks, full steering lock at full droop. Most of us don't turn lock to lock while airborne, but regardless a little clearance definitely would not hurt their performance / reputation.

It sucks having the powder coat on the arm fail, at the rub point within minutes of assembly.

I won't powder coat aluminum, due to the strength loss from the bake cycle, so the rest is of little consequence for me.

I rode stock spindles with zbroz 36" arms and Exit shocks. I had trimmed the spindles what I thought was enough. When I got the mountain, it turned out it wasn't enough - I wasn't able to countersteer while leaned over (in a carve / sidehill). It really sucks when you can only countersteer half of the normal steering throw - makes it hard to ride.

The OP was about the 39" front end. The 36" is a different animal and definitely requires trimming regardless.
