Still Ride from Town to trail in Grand Lake?

Haven't been up in 2 weeks, and I'm taking my parents out on the sleds this coming weekend. Can you still ride from Sprirt Lake Polaris?? I'll be in a cabin just behind there...so I'm sure we'll be in the dirt/mud a little.

This entire week is suppose to be 50's up there

yeah on rocks and mud and asphalt, rode from elk creek campgound on Sat. it was dirtmobiling. then the snow was like it is in May.

Yea, I think grand lake is done for the season.
Even when we got to the "riding area", the snow was terrible.
It was like riding the snowies in late may.

Heard GL got some snow.........and is expecting a good amount this week.......revitalizing this thread so I can plan my weekend.

When/if there's enough snow to ride from town is my MO.

ain't gonna happen. i was there last weekend, and the "roads" out of town were non-existent. the area up here has gotten little to no snow in the towns. not much up high either. the groomed roads out of town were completely gone. rental company shut down.

You can unload on the north supply trail head and ride. First 2-3 miles you will need to tip toe around but after that trail is at least covered. I would stay away from the south side as it is bare or snirt riding up to about 11k ft. Carefull up top as the cornices are starting to come down...
