Steering column adjustment

This weekend I moved my steering column forward about an inch and did the switch block mod mounting it to my riser. My question is this, for those that have done the steering column mod, does it help with sidehilling and carving in the powder? I haven't had a chance to ride it since doing this and wanted to see how you guys like it.

No, in fact it's probably the worst thing you can do to a mtn sled because the further back on the sled you are, the easier it is to carve/sidehill. This is also why BRP doesn't even have front holes (for the steering shaft relocate) on the Summits and also has the tabs on the risers so you can't put them forward as much. The forward mount and straight up risers are for flatlanders/trail riders.

Have FUN!

I've debated this myself,my wife 5 foot 120 pounds rides 09-800-146x,way nicer to pull the riser back,if your taller get taller riser, but pull it back a bit and ajust rear skid to prefrence.

We put ours forward right away when we bought the sleds and never looked back.
