Steerable Wheels

Has anyone used steerable wheels ?

I recently fabbed up a set with some trusty 6'' powerfist tube tires. then strapped them onto the skis. This didn't work so well. So I pulled the carbides off and bolted them on through the holes in the skis. This was my solution to get better mobility around shop. So after I bolted them up for the first time I hopped on the Turbo beauty and fell into this uncontrollable trance. Next thing I know its 9:30pm and Im rippin up my road at about 15lbs boost on these things. I know this isn't the GREATEST thing for my sled, but like I said I couldn't help myself.

This Brings me to the next question, how bad is it really?.....to rip up the road a couple times a year, I mean Im not talkin a long way, a few hundred yards round trip...

Here are a couple pics of those wheels

It is bad for your sliders and your track, but besides that, not much, just don't overheat the motor. Not much snow will get thrown up on the coolers...lol.

Cool project.

These things I am aware of. my sliders are already pooched from last season, and I am currently running the stock nytro track. which I guess is now my new "road track" :face-icon-small-coo I have my sights set on a 174 for the up coming season.
