dec 23 2008 i was in a slide that was set off by another rider.. i was stuck off to the side of a bowl, my friends were playing, jesse came to help me get turned around. as i came down into the creek draw at the bottom of the bowl i shoulder checked and all i seen was a wall of snow... i tryed to out run it and get out of the creek, but the speed was too high. i remember being thrown over the hood and tumbling with my sled. as i came to a stop i remember my sled idleing on top of me. (forgot my tether when i was stuck)

so as i was being crushed by my sled and snow, all i could move was my one hand... i couldnt breath, not because of the snow in my helmet but how tight the snow was holding me. i told myself to stay calm and that was the last thing i remembered...

when i woke up my friends were VERY happy.... i was 1.6m on the beacon... heres a few pics

so in hind sight we knew there was high wind load, but before i was involved i thought it wouldnt happen to me... i pay way more attention to weather and snow packs the WHOLE year.
