Stay on the East or West side of the Snowies?

Hi,

I'm looking at going to the Snowies this weekend. I've never been out to the snowies. From what I have seen you can stay on the Laramie side of the mountain or you can stay on the Saratoga side of the mountain. I'm curious which side people prefer? We typically try to ride little trail and play in the trees. Any help or suggestions I would appreciate.

Night life is not a concern for us. Just a bar to have a meal and a few cocktails in the evening would be good.

One thing I noticed about if we go to the west side is we would have access to the Sierra Madres too. Something to keep in mind I guess?

As I sit at my desk with my broken leg, and ask myself wish I was there
with my friends right now!
we have been going for years and mostly stay on the Laramie side, never in town mostly in Cenntenial, really liked it eat and drank at the Bear Tree seemed to work great.
The last couple of times we drove farther and stayed at Ryans Park liked that better ride right from the house/room. We seemed like we spent most of our time riding that side of the mountain anyway so it worked well.
If someone would buy and run the Snowy Mountain Lodge good that would be a nice place with gas, needs better food and BAR
