Stator replacement how long for procedure?

Just wondering how long it usually takes to replace the stator on a 2006 fusion 700. Had the work done by someone else since I have been busy with work and want to make sure I am getting the proper hours charged for ..just being safe and smart since If the new mechanic does me right I will feel more comfortable using him again.
Also how much extra time should I allow a mechanic to find this issue ?

Way too many variables here...if he is a 900 guru, I've changed a stator in less then an hour...if he is not familiar with 900s..it could take 2-4 hours since he may not know about routing, removing tank..troubleshooting ect...

If it's just a Joe Schmo mechanic...I would say 3hrs on average...
