I just read this thread and cringed when you said you were looking at 01 dodge 1/2 tons. I just learned about the dash cracking issues these trucks are having. Do a google search on them and you will see some crazy photos and read some crazy stories on how dodge is not supportive of the problem. I worry about my dash as I have a 2001 2500. It has a different style dash but I have heard it is happening to the 2500 models as well. Glad to see you went with an older model.
