There is a little scuttlebut about DJ defaulting the Last Resort (Starlight to the young un's) back to Don. Anybody else hearing this?

Nope, but does not surprise me...Will put my ear to the ground.

Darren never tried to get that place where it could be. They quit getting my greenbacks soon after he took over.

I remember back in the early '80's when it was all boarded up......Hate to see it end up that way again.......

Ya, I don't think Don has any interest in running it again. Maybe Vonnie would like to take it over but I thought she was a nurse now.

The Starlight is closed. At least that is the word I got from some friends who were able to go over the hill this weekend. Party at LOLO's:beer;

#3 could be a bit busier this season.

Anybody remember when you could walk into the Last Resort and buy a new sled?

1st time I saw it, the place was all boarded up. The early 70's. We had parked at the coal piles, ridden dirt bikes over to the West Fork and some guy shows us some new trails. We came down Bear Creek and I saw the Lake for the 1st time. Had to ride the road to get back to the truck.......Seemed like a 100 mile day in 90 degree heat...

:eek: sorry guys but pinned wfo and myself can remember riding our sleds to the last resort in 1971 and having breakfast............we had just bought a lot in pine-loc-sun, did a lot of riding on both snow and dirt in that area over the next 20 years................:present:

I still have one of those old Yamaha's. I want to get it running again when I get my shop built. Plesha live's right next door in Driftwood Acres and the club house is still there as far as I know.:beer;
