Starlight going back to Last Resort

Yea, we quit going to the restrant because of that. I will tell him if I see him XP, but we are not in Pine Loc, we are in Driftwood.

Here's some trivia. Anybody remember what the Last Resort Resturant building was before it was Last Resort?

last resort

Thanks Augerin.didnt it used to be a motor cycle shop with a track in the bach?i remember one on the way to fish lake.

 seens to me that it was known as driftwood acres, I use to talk to the orginal owner when we would stop in for food,,,,,,,,,,,,:present:

And we have a winner.... But it was a store in the main part and then as you walked in to the right was a snack bar with bar stools and they made old fashion soda's hamburgers ect. I'm pretty sure the 2nd story came during the Last Resort phase. Great memory's of that place. Been going there since the late 60's. My uncle was the General for Whoosh Poosh camp ground and I can just barely remember going there with my Dad when he was building it. Must have been in the early 70's. Anyway Sad to see it close even though the facilities have been in decline for years. I wish somebody would pump some cash into that place and make it nice. The challenge is (Mountain Rose as well) they are basically on dead end highways well off the beaten path.

Let's hope sombody with a clue takes over up there. Don had, has the respect of his customers. Partialy due to the fact that some of us have known him since we were kid's, and partialy becuase he charged for convienence and didn't gouge. I'm drunk, night night, good snow show!:D

Straight from the horses mouth ...

Okay, I have been watching this thread and I will officially end all of the questions ....

WE HAVE FORECLOSED ON "STARLITE RESORT" AND WILL BE OPENING "THE LAST RESORT" COMING UP!!! We being Don and Margaret May and Tim and Vonnie Penelerick.

We will start (cleaning and licenses and stocking and such) on the mini-mart and the motels. We are currently looking for someone to rent, lease or purchase the restaurant, but if that does not happen by the first week of December, then we will work on opening that up. If you know anyone interested in the restaurant ... get in touch with us. Hope to see all of you soon!!!
