Star Valley Snow

The snow in the Salt River Range on the eastern side of Star Valley is looking great. Hiked up the Grover Park road yesterday out of Grover, and there's about a foot or so of power on it and a lot of snow machine tracks there from folks heading for the higher country. Hopefully, they will start grooming it before the usual December 15th start. Can't get on the trails yet because the wife's sled is in the shop for an engine rebuild/seal replacement, and she won't let me go out alone...
There's a steady stream of snow machine trailers every day at the Chevron in Thayne across from my office... so it has to be good.
Plus, there's a forecast for a couple more inches tonight, again tomorrow (Dec 1) and then again for Wednesday night...

Went up Willow Creek road from Turnerville yesterday (some non-locals may call this "Bedford"... but that town's a few miles away...)
Not too many folks had been up there, and the road had not been groomed for a while (the groomer is trapped behind a snow berm when they cleared the parking lot...). I only went as far as the White Pine trailhead at the top of the hill, but there was about 2 or 3 feet of nice powder there. Great early-season conditions.
