Standalone ECU

Ive been talking to a few people about the new standalone ecu on the market. Seems like a very interesting piece.

However why do you have to run a FPR with it? You guys brag it up and says its so great but still need a FPR, I call it BS. You guys need to stop flooding the forums with your ridiculous post and get some miles on these things, we dont give a blank about what your dyno says, I want to see this thing bashing through the trees, no open hills where you just holding it WOT, and lets see some videos from startup to WOT, most people post these videos and never let the sleds get below clutch engagement because they are rich and burbley.

I think you need alot more time and some better tuners if your going to sell this expensive piece and still make the end user add a FPR, what a clutter of sh##. Iam sticking with the piggy backs for now.

I cant wait to hear the whinning post from you know who.

Come on boys lets hear the excuses.

watch those videos BOY!! listne to the on and off throttle response, low, mid and high speed ....everywhere; and remember this is a ported TURBO sled , not OEM n/a.....

Have you seen his last videos lol...
I think you just lost all credibility now..

He lost credibility the minute he posted. Made it pretty obvious he doesn't know how injectors operate. Furthermore I have very little respect for anyone's opinion that has never tried the product, let alone before it is out in the hands of consumers.

Once again sled stew the sled sounds good, runs clean, idles nice and sounds snappy in the bottom. Great job

Really impressed with the run ability of the sled doesn't sound buzzy when running at lower RPM! Does the turbo control standalone come with the full gauge package seen on the sled in the video and does it run secondary injectors? Right now I'm running a 2012 Silber kit on a 11 Assault Pro RMK and it is working great but I think it could work even better. Running 5 lbs boost @ 2000' with 10 liters of C111 per tank of 91 and pulls hard but some problems when over 6200 but not into the boost (fast cruise) afr's are going a little high just wondering what you are seeing in those conditions with your equipment. I could see this being the future of modified sleds! Thanks in advance .

Sorry buddy ,the gauge doesnt come with the ECU, I had it specifically built for testing EFI systems and cost is around $3500 if you want one.:face-icon-small-sho The conditions have been varying a little as we make changes but as far as cruising everyone has a different opinion. Here is my thoughts on cruising -- going down the trail to get to a point where you ride in deep snow or trees maybe sometimes 10 to 15 miles away. Most guys never hold a steady throttle for more than 1/8 mile to a quarter mile especially on a turbo. The nice thing about this ECU is that you could hold the throttle steady for 5 miles straight as long as your fuel table and ignition is spot on which it will be once you tune it.

megasquirt microsquirt

sorry to rain on the parade but why would i spent 3500$ on your stand alone when i could spend 330$ on a microsquirt that has all the same capabilities for a fraction of the cost? just sayin the price tag is a little steep!!!!

Microsquirt doesnt have the CDI controller to run battery less. It also does not have the ability to make the electronic reverse work.

awe come on the $330 computer has to be way better than the $1900 computer! we all know that the cheaper it is , means it is always better! plus just imajine the kind of support that you will get with the $330 system, I bet they know exactly how to set it up on a sled?

There are a few good reasons that the micro squirt is so cheap and the Vipec is a more expensive system. Might be why you do not see the microsquirt on any sleds????!!!!

IMO a Microsquirt would be awesome as a fuel only controller. The 2 just are not directly comparable. A big advantage of the vipec is the timing control

I run the megasquirt and the tech support has been awesome. and you have full control over timing. but needing a battery is def. a bad deal and no reverse. i just was wondering why no one has used one.

I was staying at the super 8 in Cook City all this last week up until early sat. morn. Got done riding Friday and was just siting in hotel room checking all my go pro vids for the day and I hear an extremely clean running turbo machine ripping back and forth in the parking lot, look out window and its a RMK pro that just came to a stop out side a hm turbo trailer. I was very curious since my twisted m1000 has never ran that well from bottom to top, so I walked down to trailer and ended up talking to a gentlemen for about an hour about the stand alone ecu, whose name I unfortunately didn't get. He said they were offering rides the next few days, then I said I'm leaving for home in the early morning. Then I heard, go grab your helmet and give it a try, so I did.

This is a completely UN-bias opinion about my rip on the RMK pro, I have only one season under my belt on my 09tm1000 10-12lbs @10k+ , it runs OK, pulls like hell on top end! I can't go down a trail very long without bliping throttle a lot, runs decent in the trees boondocking, loads up on bottom a bit but cleans up after holding to bar a short bit or a big climb, tried playing with attitude box a lot and couldn't get much better than it is now. After my 10 min ride on the pro with stand alone ecu I was completely blown away with how clean it ran from bottom to very top, very little turbo lag, NEVER missed a beat! Pointed up a couple big hills and put to bar, held steady down trail, clean all the way through! I was told they will have one for the cats in a few months, I'm seriously considering buying one for my machine!

The person I talked with please pm me your info so I can stay on the up for the cats stand alone system, thanks.
