Squealing banshee!!!!!

Got a foot of fresh powder last night decided to take the wifes new 600 pro out for a spin. Got a half of a mile up the road to stop and turn around and something was a squealing. Drove back home stopped to put in the trailer and still a squealing. Any ideas? Sounds like the belt but how can that be when the sled is stopped and the clutches aren't engaged?

Is it just when it idles? Sounds like the belt deflection is just a touch too tight. Nothing major if this is the case. Just an allen wrench to back it off a bit.

Will check it out thanks, I am a doo guy so I will have to pull out the manual :) the 600 pro is sweet I will give it that, haven't smiled like that on a 600 ever, maybe I will have to ride a 800 pro, but am afraid that I will join the dark side

Loosen nut on front of secondary clutch, insert correct size allen wrench into threaded stud that the bolt is threaded onto, screw in allen headed stud until belt stops squeaking! Then tighten bolt back up! This is adjusting your belt deflection:)

good directions, but you risk stripping the little allen head if you don't first insert and partially tighten the tool to open up the sec. sheaves. This will allow the allen head to be moved without having stress on it. That tool comes with the sled.

Read the manual front to back on this sled... things like deflection adjustment and also... Key for your wife to ride it... the rear suspension setup for a lighter rider.

Exactly what PalousePoo said... use the little L tool to save some frustration.

Adjust a bit... suspend the rear... run it with track off ground... till you get the right adjustment... If it is new... take it back to the dealer to make it right... that is their job.

IMO... remove the belt wash it and clean the clutches as outlined in many other threads.

That is a great machine... you may find yourself riding it more than you think.
