Spray Painting Skis???

Just saw on Chris Browns video that he spray painted his skis!!! Has anyone ever tried this?! Really curious if it would ever stick and stay. Can't imagine it working very well but would be awesome if it did. Please share your experience or thoughts...

I spray painted the ski handles a few years back and they just flaked off. it might work if you do it right but just dont use a rattle can from home depot. It wont look good after a ride or two.

saw a guy paint his blue doo skis white a few years ago. it doesn't work, if you want a different color go buy them. there is no way you will keep paint on any part that touches snow, just won't happen no matter how good you think you prep it.

besides it's plastic. How would you get it to stick even if it wasn't being rubbed on by the snow?

wouldn't that krylon fusion plastic paint work...bonds on a molecular level...blah blah

I have painted my kids sleds with that and it doesn't flake off..holds pretty tough if you let it cure for the required 7 days.

Not sure if it would work....but if anything would that should.

It seems the high quality automotive plastic paint sticks pretty good. But its not likely to stick to anything thats in constant contact like mentioned above. Just buy a different colored ski. Atleast that way you wont be trying to clean off flaking paint later on.

the extreme flexing the skis well sometimes handle well help crack them as well, there realy is no paint option to be honest, the surface is far to abused.
Dye would work ok except for when it scrapes it would scrape down to the original color, it wont flake and sticks pretty well, i have done alot of RC car rims, look up dying RC car rims and see if thats a result you want.
cant undo it though!

haha thanks guys I knew there was no chance but a guy can dream. Really hoped someone would say yes I did it and it worked amazing. But clearly my thoughts are confirmed that nothing will work. Not going to waste money on different colored skis when the Polaris skis work just fine.

If you notice in that video when they are messing with his sled after he wrecked it, the bottom of the red ski is white again... too bad, Would've been sweet though!

would be nice to be able to paint them at your leisure, change the color every weekend.
