Spent a few days at Fastrax last week getting set up with a Fastrax/CR Racing M-10 for my 08 800 Dragon. In a word, this shop and crew are AWESOME to deal with. The work is first class and they were real patient teaching this newby as they went. I learned a ton of stuff that I have always wondered but was to chicken to ask on here. I learned a lot that had nothing to do with my D8 or the mods I was doing.
This is a clean well organized shop that has all the right equipment and parts on hand to make your buggy rip. Curt and Justin are great guys and ride what they preach. It was an extra advantage for me that Curt rides a D8 too. Curt doesn't just have an opinion and tell you thats the way it is, he takes the time to show you and explain position. That type of straight talk backed up by proof is reassuring when spending your hard earned $$$ especially if your a little in the dark like me.
I really appreciated how Curt explained all the mods we did, how it will effect my ride, and how to adjust things to perfection. I'm glad I know about how to tune my new stuff, but the sled was spot on right out of the shop. This is pretty awesome given that he did this for a 340# rider with all the riding skills of a 45 year old couch tater. Thanks a lot Curt, Justin, and Fastrax for being patient with all the questions, and for a quality job on a quick turn over to get me back on the road (I was moteling it). It was also great to meet Lee (Yammamauler) and Lynn (dont know your 4m name) the watercraft triple guru. A couple great guys.
Heres my list:
162" Fastrax/CR Racing M-10
162" Camo challenger extreme
Avid drivers
Re-Geared
Re-Clutched
Re-Valved WE front shocks (this is a must for dragon owners)
All the above set up and dialed for a 340# rider
I'll post the detail pics in the polaris thread
I can't say enough about my Fastrax experience, if your looking to mod your ride from a custom tube chassis to the right parts for your OEM stuff, give 'em a try. I'm glad I did. EW
A few of the watercraft tripple I saw there.
