My name is Erich Long and I would like to welcome everyone to visit speedshopinc.com

Some of you may remember me because I am "Bikeman". I founded Bikeman Performance back in 2004. Unfortunately my biz partner and I had a serious falling out and now I have Speed Shop Inc.

I will continue to focus on high performance snowmobile parts. My big bores engine kits have been working great for years now, all the way back to my 800 big bore for the good old firecats. That is, after all, my first product that launched BMP. Moving forward now I already have a full line of products for the popular models. The website isn't finished as of today, but at least you all can see what we're all about. There will be a lot more mufflers for all brands and clutch kits added this week especially for the Polaris and ski doo models. Other parts will be up this week too such as hornet studs, power commanders, team clutching and gearing, black diamond lightweight parts, and more.

My most popular big bore kits are the 900 kit for the cat 800, the 860 for the ski doo etec 800, the 860 for the Polaris 800, the 880 for the ski doo xp800r, and 660 kit for the Polaris 600.

But I still can do kits like the F8 big bore for the F7/m7, 1200 kit for the cat 1000, 1000 big bore for the cat zr /mtncat 800 and 900's, 1100 thundercat, 780 kit for Yamaha Srx and Viper, 760 kit for mtnmax700/sx700, we can keep going back to the 680 for the zr/mtncat600 if we really want to. lol.

I also have pipe mods for most of the popular model. They are only $225 bucks and add a lot of power for
your machine. My first one was for the firecat 800 big bore kit that I developed. At Dynotech it made very nice gains of 5-6hp. And the newer version made 7-8 horsepower at dynotech later on. Other examples of power gains. Cat 1000 twin +6-7 hp. Cat zr/mtncat 900 twin with y pipe mod too +9hp. Cat 800 +7hp. Cat 800ho pro +6 hp. Cat 700 +7 hp. Cat 600 +5 hp. Rev 600 +8 hp. Rev 800 +9 hp. Mach z 1000 +5 hp. Etec 600 +5 hp. Etec 800 +5-6 hp. Polaris 800 edge +6 hp. Polaris 800 dragon +9 hp. Polaris 800 2011-2015 +6-7hp. Polaris 700 twin +7hp. Polaris 600 twin carb and cfi +6hp.

[Bikeman Performance Plus]

We would like to clarify a few things.



Erich Long started Bikeman Performance, which went bankrupt. The company and assets were then purchased by Jimmy, and legally re-named Bikeman Performance Plus. Erich Long was a manager and had no ownership of Bikeman Performance Plus. He was an employee that was terminated for cause in July of 2014. As much as we would like to share the reasons behind this, our lawyers advise us not to.

Since new ownership in 2008, the business has had great success. Previous products from when Erich Long owned the company were poorly designed and manufactured. Those who have been around the industry saw that turn around once the new owner, and new employees were in place. The real success to Bikeman Performance Plus lies in the employee's who put in many extra hours to do things the right way, and get the business on track. Erich did have a big part in the start of the company, but in the last few years he went in to coast mode. Working on projects that were only of personal benefit, not thinking of the company as a whole.

You'll see him use "My" when it comes to his products for Speed Shop Inc. Most of these items were engineered by employees of Bikeman Performance Plus, not by Mr. Long. He is simply using his nickname to associate himself with our company and take credit for products he did not design.

Bikeman Performance Plus is a state of the art performance center with nearly 20 employees. We engineer, test, sell, and manufacture quality products as a team of highly skilled individuals who know how to make horsepower.

So what your saying is; my old Ski Doo Summit I dropped off there in 2006 that I had Erich do a motor build, that is still I might add, being tortured to this day, was poorly done and the parts/materials in it were poorly manufactured? I absolutely beat the living snot out of that sled and so did the next owner and never been rebuilt or messed with since. I actually ran an entire tank of nitrous thru that sled in less than 5 minutes (on several occasions)..............lol. So if that is a representation of "your" company before 2008............ holy crap, you guys must be epic now. I just wanted to share my experience prior to 2006. I didn't have any issues with that build what-so-ever. So, I guess we will never know "who" actually did what and

I will agree that products before 08 were poorly designed because my buddies m7 800 kit was a joke. Really hard to think bikeman after that. A stock sled ran better. I hope you guys have turned it around.

Same experience with them back then not to mention cans had to be cut apart and re welded to fit and the y pipes we got you could see light through the seams.
Rode a Bikemans AC 900 last year and was very impressed... Would love to throw a leg over their 860 poo now.

I know both bikeman and Jimmy.
Erich is a engine wizard, he was the designer of power and packages. He builds nice stuff and will talk to you about concerns or issues Before and after you purchase stuff.
Jimmy is a organizer and sales guy and a good one! He can sell ice to Eskimos. That's fine and dandy every place needs a sales guy. I can say he will offer service until you have the parts then if there is issues your a number to him or its your fault. I've never had that with erick, if there was a issue he helped solve it happily.
Jimmy had very little hi performance snomobile experience until Erick hired him years ago to sell product.
Erick is a performance engine designer.
Bmp can still make the parts erick designed but upcoming products will be interesting.
The whole lawsuit situation should tell you something. Pretty sure there was a fast one pulled on Erick and eventually the truth will come out!
I'll trust the designer not the salesman.

It will get pulled if he is not a paid advertiser would be my guess. If he is paying to advertise here it should not get pulled. At least those are the terms I was given. I post on here often and that is why you see my banner at the top of the page in rotation and in the parts and accessories dealer section.
