Soooo the wife and are expecting!!!

Get ready for the time of your life. Our baby girl turned one a couple weeks ago and she is more fun everyday. Growing way too fast.

On a side note don't worry too much about the sleep thing. You may get lucky like we did. Our baby sleeps all through the night everynight.

Congratulations,
Kids are awesome, i have a 6yr old boy, a 4yr old boy, and a girl almost 3. I would not trade them for anything. Breast feeding is great and Sams Club or COSTCO are usually the cheapest diapers. Also if you get a chance it is a good idea to take an infant CPR class.

As far as being a Dad, keep calm. Remember to take turns if need be. We had lots of times when my girl wouldn't stop crying when we just had to take a break and let the other parent take over. Turns out she was lactose intolerant and a change of formula made a huge difference. No breastfeeding for us, so I was up a lot, too.

As far as pregnancy, be supportive. We went through 2 miscarriages and our during the pregnancy with our daughter, my wife was on bed rest the last couple of months and we even lost the heartbeat during labor (cord around her neck). After all that, the rest seemed pretty easy.

One tip on clothes, buy used from thrift stores and find sales from churches and other groups. They grow so quickly at first, they never wear them out. And you will get stains on your shirts, so put the designer shirts away for a while.

Also a car ride always put my daughter to sleep, so I had lots of nights with late night drives when we were figuring out the formula stuff.

Thats very reassuring, thank you. J/K We had a few problems at first and she was on bed rest but is ok now so I hope the rest goes good.

you'll be fine

CONGRATS!!! It's an awesome feeling. Am also a first time dad, only we were blessed with twin girls. Seven months old now. It'll scare the $hit out of ya, but then it's natural once it's here. Don't over stress and be there and watch it happen, it's an amazing experience. Give em lots o love, both momma and newborn. Congrats again.
