Solution to sno - park plowing problems

Chris
I have talked to Mr. Kline. OK guy, but definately a blow hole Liberal.
Don't call any of us posers! You need to come up and spend a weekend with us when we are working the park property. Our club President works his azz off staying in the loop. Don't sit there lobbing bombs at us without knowing the truth about what goes on up here. We probably have the best relationship with any of the National Parks in our state. Don't be a dique.

E-mail's sent off to the Rep's.

Here are million dollar questions, what options are available for quick action this season? Can we as a group contract someone to plow the sno-parks?

Blindman,
I readily admit that I sit at the bottom of the hill's (Posing). My excuse is it's a power to weight ratio issue...:)

the problem now at least on snoqualmie is w/o a snowblower going through plowing is just about useless. I know before all the snow really hit there was barely enough room to park and get cars passed at kachess

Thanks Jstrows!! I moved the cat up to the road this afternoon, and hope to move the 892 tomorrow, Doug and Ted is starting on tuesday. HPI is working on chains for the grader. All this is being done through our club volunteers and donated equipment. Any and all donations is appreciated!! Call or pm me for clubs address. This is for the snow park at Schieber meadow that everyone uses!! Thanks also to Springbrook Nursery and Trucking for donation of moving all the equipment. And Construction Unlimited, and TNP Construction, and all volunteers!!

I'm a little ignorant of exactly how the system works. I have the general idea of where the $$ comes from and contracting groomers etc...
As for the plowing $$....what happens to the $$ from the low snow years (or even the average years) that is left over. Does it get spent on something else? Saved? Go to emergency fund or ??? And do we not have access to that $$ after it leaves the plow fund? It seems a bit odd that we burned through the $$ in less than 2 months, and also consider that a couple of the big snow weekends there was no plowing due to safety concerns and using all the equipment for the hiway (on I-90). Why did we not run out in years past when there was even more snow and a season that started almost 2 months sooner??
I know it does no good to speculate after the fact, but perhaps a fix for the future is just making sure the funds are being properly used ??? :beer;

The three pictures with the blower and backhoe are from Labrador in the SE of Canada. I believe the story goes that the winds in the area are really high, couple with snow fall and previous plow results in the problem as shown.

One of those pictures looks a little risque. What is that backhoe doing to the groomer?:p Lol, neat setup though.

guess it worked

thanks for all the passionate responses.

not trying being a dick,,,just tired of the "little red hen story" with a lot of snowmobilers. (ok maybe i did come off like a dikk) and i must have cause that came from an expert on the subject...lol

hope i motivated a few.

if i pissed off some..sorry, but if some that wouldn't have done anything.... actually did something.

then i am not sorry.

myself...gettin a little burned out trying to make a diff and it keeps goin the other way.

if everyone on here would spend the $ and time that i and hpi and dave and many others have (you know who you are) with this...we would be riding in mt rainier natl. park.

lee you are in FACT the BIGGEST poser on a sled...lol
