Bossrev just hooked me up with a killer deal on an Everest Etec 154.

Over on Dootalk.com there seems to be some serious issues with the 800 etecs also. Prolly nothing like what you have gone thru... but problems none the less.

Hope it works out well tho! I have ridden a new 800 e-tec and it has ALOT of power!

i got the gizmo kit on my 2009 polaris assault and have not burned down yet. i went through 10 motors in 1021. Without the gizmo kit from redneckracing.com. know that i have it in my sled runs better and hasn't burn down yet have over 300 miles on the kit. My sled will smoke all of my friends sled that doesnt have the kit and the have the same set up i do. i have crisper throttle responce know and i dont see the spike on restart anymore or the drops in temps like i used to with out the kit. They sell there kit for 300 and it works. they have over 200 kits out in the snow and know all my budies have them on to and they love it. I don't have any war. on my sled anymore and the same with my friends. When you burn down a top end costs over 1700.00. So i went with this 300 gizmo instead and i cant say i bad thing about the kit. it works and i tell everyone about it that has a 700-800 from 08-11. If you look or read snowest they have the gizmo on there project sled. They have been around for a while and i do belive in what the put on there sled. They wouldn't be out test things that doesn't work. if you go to there website it will tell you what it does and how it can save you the heart aces as well. i am glad to see that they came out with the gizmo and i can't thank them enuff for suck a great kit and keeping me out of the shop. I think if you have a 08-11 600-800 watch your temps when you ride. then when you restart it after sitting i think the temps say it all

You guys sound like you are talking about ski-doo, I have a 2002 800 with 3800 miles it has had two engines and three top ends. Last weekend it sucked the mag side seal and seized momentarily,haven't disassembled the wretched machine to view the damage-really don't want to.

Same kit on my sled and i notice the same thing! Best 300$ i have ever spent!

Its too bad that some of these "fixes" didnt come out sooner. I think that there are alot of people out there trying to just weather storm until they can afford a new PRO (or whatever). I am very pleased with the way my sled runs. It should run good............. with twins, porting and head work. But I'm getting to the point where I cringe anytime I hold the throttle wide open for more than 2 seconds. This time will soon pass

i have an 09 700 and it consistantly runs at about 120 all the time...would the gizmo up that and then increase performance?

I just had 3 GREAT days of riding on my 2009 Assault. Oh, and I rode with two other D8's and two Pro Rides. ZERO issues with any of them. They all ripped!

Sorry to hear about your sled, so is what is left of your sled for sale now? and if so whats been done to it and what is needed to repair the engine? last but not least how much are you asking? I hope the new doo works good for you!

Yes it will brin the temp up to about 140-150 degrees...and you should notice more hp.

Sled is complete, just needs a crank, which is a $1,000. All the usual add ons, scratchers, Better boards, skins bumper, skid plate, lefty, tunnel and underseat bag, and extra gas can. It also has the slp intake pipe and can. A PCV and I swaintech coated the pistons. The best mod is the muff pot though. Listed for $4,000 and I have ALOt of spare parts as well.

3-down in 2-weeks

I ride a polaris, and 3-people in my group have blown their motors the last 2-weeks. 08 D8, 09D8, 10Assault. All have had the factory updates done, assault was a complete new motor, the other two are off warranty, but had less then 300miles since the updates where done last year.

Hey, if any of you D8 guys are desperate to unload that sled you don't like let me know. They've always ran good for me. I'd buy one for the right price. I wish I could have kept my D8, but I needed the money for the Pro.
