So whats coming next year??

ok..easy fella's...regardless of conflicting personalities i think a person does have to have their head stuck up their butt if they don;t acknowledge that this precision outfit is taking fuel calibration to a new frontier..jmo

...did you ever tried to learn the vi-pec tuning software?? this standalone can run an F1 car.....i guess you didn't know that right?...

Really?

Why would you have built maps to control pneumatic solenoids for valves, when it is being marketed for 2 stroke engines without valves? Also why would you have the ability to control multi stage clutch setup, when again it is being marketed for a cvt style transmission on a sled? I also highly doubt you have the data acquisition capability on board that ecu to control suspension, aerodynamics, attack angle, ect...

Some how I kind of doubt it could actually run an F1 engine, let alone the whole car. I have my doubts that even a motec standalone could.

But if yours can for the kind of price you are offering to snowmobiliers you are missing your market.

My point here isn't that you don't have a reasonable product, as I am sure you do, but that you should be careful when stating your claims.

well it all sounds good, but tuning your sled with a laptop...SUCKS.... If you think you will get a map that never needs worked or that this ecu is better that stock.. you are all misled.. This ecu doesnt have any fail safe hardware or programming, it doesnt auto tune, and it needs a LAPTOP to tune it.. If you want to spend 2-3 on a stand alone, buy one that does what a standalone should do.. JMO

Seen this ecu in action 1st hand and now its f/s in the swap meet area..

Kinda funny that this is a friend of mine for about 15 years that use to tune his sled with a laptop 5 years ago and we all made fun ya for it:face-icon-small-ton

You saw the sled run when it had a broken piston in it. The Emilie saga was laid to rest awhile ago, only reason its for sale is to get some money back. Shes not running the turbo anymore. And like Ive said before that sled had many problems way before we even put the turbo on it so.....not sure why it put a bad taste in your mouth when Emilie and I are the ones that used it. With the amount of time I spent with this thing I wouldn't hesitate putting the Vi-Pec ECU on my sled...if I had the extra money...

thanks for the plug too! ViPec for sale in swap!

So i guess if your system is capable of all these things you say, are the buyers told of this, why arent all of the important sensors standard, are all of the owners taken to school to learn how to tune a sled with a laptop and set parameters, for even det stuff.... I guess the my friends who was one of your 1st to try your box spent alot of time making a map.. he might of burned it down making a map....They dont know how or when the detonation happened.. maybe on every ride, they didnt even know how to change or moniter timing or det problems. They had to start from scratch doing a race/tune in their field for the entire day and then every time they rode trying to fine tune it...
I think giving the average person that rides power use a laptop still cant make a sled run right.. I am not saying your system doesnt work or doesnt have features, I am saying its entirely toooooo complicated for most weekend warriors.. If you sent out a standalone and it isnt mapped perfect, who is tuning it?
I do have years of tuning with a laptop, and this system as its being pushed is not set up as full stand alone and is going to be an expensive learning lesson for most..
What does this system cost with all the sensors to make it auto tune? Det?

I guess i am seeing another system thrown into the sled world before its perfected...

You are kinda right but now that Curt Brad and Shane......Fastrax, Power Addiction, and HM are playing with it now theirs alot more feed back and this thing is only getting better and better....plus more people to help field the customer support. When we had it I spent about 3 hours a night on the phone with Jake for the first week....thats enough to wear a guy out handling customers like that.

but those are all Polaris guys.....

Why would you have built maps to control pneumatic solenoids for valves,
yes it does
when it is being marketed for 2 stroke engines without valves?
the bottom board and the built in cdi circuitry are from a main board used in other application as well in the racing department.
Also why would you have the ability to control multi stage clutch setup, when again it is being marketed for a cvt style transmission on a sled?
same reason as above.
I also highly doubt you have the data acquisition capability on board that ecu to control suspension, aerodynamics, attack angle, ect...
yes it does....and also traction control, wheelie control if you want(gyro).

Some how I kind of doubt it could actually run an F1 engine, let alone the whole car. I have my doubts that even a motec standalone could.
there isn't a feature a motec does that this ECU can't do.

But if yours can for the kind of price you are offering to snowmobiliers you are missing your market.
that is your opinion and i am respecting it.

exactly what we do.

thanks

If I want to use this on a Poweraddiction turbo for MY racing needs..Can this support 3-4 injectors per cyl ?

I will need to move 200lbs of fuel at peak torque per cyl.. NO I will not run just 2 large injectors..I want a minimum of 3 per cyl ..

Currently its no problem for me to do all this with blowthru carbs however the future IS that racers dont know how to tune these days and need electronics to do the work ( and have the knowledge ) that they dont have themselves.

Thank you

Well Pricision EFI, went to your web site. Very impressive. I can't wait to see which turbo companies are going to be using your ecu. It will play in a part of my decision making on which turbo to buy for my first turbo. I know PUSH turbo is up to something new coming this fall. That would work out great for me because my local turbo installer with experience does PUSH turbos. Can't wait for fall. :face-icon-small-hap

By the time next year rolls around you're going to have a 380 lb boosted monster man!!! I'll keep harassing you about boost till you pull the trigger! :D
