So....what is covered in the powertrain warranty???

I'm getting mixed messages on what polaris will cover and what they won't cover on their 2 year powertrain warranty. Anyone one want to clear it up for me?

Thats not very comforting. Thanks for the reply though
2012 with 700 miles and bad injectors. the transferable warranty was the selling point over a modded sled.

Your injectors are covered! I am currently having a complete motor replaced under my 2nd year power train warranty. Just before the motor took a **** they replaced the voltage regulator under warranty.

No I am not. A bad dealer will find ways to make you pay for what should be warrantied. A good one will go above and beyond

If he has second year engine and bad injectors it SHOULD be covered.

SNOWMOBILE 2-YEAR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY
Powertrain Warranty Coverage Qualifications
 Coverage for powertrain failures due to defects in materials and workmanship will be determined by Polaris in its sole discretion. Coverage exists only for defects in manufacturing workmanship or material. Any non-factory authorized modifications void coverage.
 A $50 deductible will apply to each repair visit after the first twelve months of standard warranty coverage.
 The Powertrain Warranty applies to the first 3,000 miles or two (2) calendar years from date of purchase, whichever comes first. Tampering with the odometer shall void all warranties/service contracts.
 2nd Year Powertrain Warranty is transferrable, and the snowmobile must be registered in the current owner’s name to qualify for coverage assistance.
 Snowmobiles used for commercial purposes or for racing are excluded from coverage.

my dealer is saying injectors are NOT covered under warranty.(They said they are going to try)
$249 for the injectors plus labor.

Gcmi, I did find that online but wasn't sure how old it was or if it applied to my 2012. Why would they tell me they are not covered?

They do have to follow protocol on getting the warranty approved if not it gets rejected and then has to be resubmitted
