Hello Everyone,
Now that my wife and I have had a chance to ride these machines 6 times up in the mountains, I feel it's time to share our experiences and opinions. First of all, I'm 34 yrs old and my wife is 31. We are both avid dirt bikers living and riding in Kelowna, British Columbia. My wife rides a KTM XC-250 four stroke and I ride a KTM XC-450 four stroke. We love our dirt bikes and my wife especially was extremely skeptical on whether or not a 400-450 lbs. Snow Hawk was going to be just as enjoyable as her dirt bike.
We have just finished a fantastic riding weekend with TLKD and some Two Ski friends in Revelstoke, B.C. and it turned out to be nothing short of spectacular. (hopefully video footage will be posted on YouTube soon).
As far as my expectations and experiences with my 800 '08 Hawk, I'm enjoying riding it more than my KTM. AND I LOVE MY KTM!!!!!!!!! TLKD has been extremely helpful with expanding my knowledge of these machines and I'm excited with the thoughts of doing some mods to make them just that much better. The Snow Hawk is everything I had hoped for and much, much more. I'm so happy that I bought two Snow Hawks instead of just one for myself and a two ski for my wife. She rode a 600 Polaris this weekend for about 25 minutes and couldn't get off it fast enough. At the moment my wife is actually pricing out Real Estate in Revelstoke so she can spend ALL of her winters bombing up the mountains on her 600 Hawk.
The biggest reward so far is seeing how much my wife enjoys this machine, AND HOW WELL SHE RIDES IT, as TLKD can attest to. Over the past few times we've gone out my wife has turned many Two-ski heads and all the local Hawkers in our area with how easy she makes it look. Her 2005 600 came with all the stock components except her hand warmers. She rode her machine 5 times before getting on my 800 to compare the differences. She took to the feel of the 800 so strongly that I was afraid I wouldn't get her off it. Since then I changed her ski adapter to the set back adapter and on Saturday in Revelstoke she was tearing around the hillside like a woman possessed. TLKD has footage of her making tight turns in the powder that we're hoping to put on YouTube when it's ready.
So how do my wife and I feel about these machines?? They are AWESOME and they not only COMPLETELY fit our style of riding but they have exceeded both of our expectations. I can't believe more people aren't riding them.
To all you people thinking of trying out this machine, if you know someone who has one, or you may know someone who knows someone who knows someone...........I suggest you try it. If you even experience 1% of the fun and excitement as we've experienced, you won't be disappointed.
Safe riding everyone!!!

One thing I almost forgot. My wife's brother was one of the poor lads that had to rent a Ski Doo Summit Everest 800 163" track for the day to be able to join us on the mountain. After riding the Sled for 2 hours I gave him a go on my 800 for an hour. He is a VERY avid dirt biker who has been riding for 15 years (he's 27 yrs. old and rides a KTM 530 XCW.........VERY aggressively). After the day he swore he would NEVER buy a two ski as it just wasn't for him. I've found the next Hawker in the family. HE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!
