Not good for construction dudes
I work as a supt for a large commercial construction company based in the Midwest. Our volume has dropped drastically in the last year. I took a layoff after I finished my last project and will be hopefully heading back to a job in the next couple of weeks. There were some silver linings however. I was smart with my money when I was making it, so I wasn't always worried about that.
I got in the best shape of my life. I spent a bunch of time with family and friends. I have been hunting like a wild man. You know, I strongly believe in a solid work ethic, but sometimes when you work a lot life will pass you by a little bit. I am anxious to get back to work, but I have enjoyed my time off immensely.
