Snowy's wilderness?

I know that there are a couple of wilderness (land of no uses) areas around the Snowy's but I've been searching the internet and can't find a map of where they are...trying to find some new riding areas on Google Earth, and don't want to head into the areas and give greenies more ammo...

Pick up a map while you are up there, I haven't seen any on the internet. I was just looking at a paper map from '06 last night. Saw the areas you are talking about.

Stop in Laramie or Saratoga on you way to the hill and pick up a trail map. They will have the various wilderness areas marked. Savage Run and Platte River Wilderness's are the two you will probably get closest to. I also believe there are some additional no motorized travel areas up top.

Good luck finding new honey holes.

You can either stop at any of the snowmobile places in Laramie, Rawlins or Saratoga on your way up and pick up a map, or you can order them in advance here: http://wyotrails.state.wy.us/Maps/index.asp
The maps show you the areas to stay away from, and once the trail committee finishes marking trails, they sometimes mark off certain areas that they don't want sleds to go in.
