I'm sure it was a bloodbath for sledders......
Just got back from meeting(discussion about where to put the lot). F.S. said their people are too busy dealing with the beetlekill that the Biodiversity Council has had a huge hand in perpetuating right now to worry about the lot. There will be a public comment period "hopefully" by next winter according to the dis. ranger. Biodiversity wants no lot on 130. They want expanded lots in Albany or 230. They are also using this as a way to get their foot in the door for snowmobile management. Duane Short(head bio dude) said "it can not be free-for-all for snowmobiles". That we need to have a management like ATV's. Sledders were represented pretty well, skiers to though. This is coming right back down to(like it always does) skier vs snowmobiler. Hang on to your boots folks this is gonna get good!
I don't care how you slice it...more parking is better for everyone so that the road is not so dangerously congested.
Keep us posted on the timing for the next meeting and maybe we can gather a few more voices.

Don,t think it will happen. That was just on biodiversty's wish list today at the meeting.
Biodiversity brought up Minnesota today, about that when the snow melts there is a layer of oil left on the water, and Mr. D. Short is pretty sure that the same thing is happening here.
The meeting almost got derailed, from being about a p.lot to restricting sleds. This is headed towards much more than a 10 acre chunk of ground imho.
