Looking to go on a hut trip to Benedict Hut in Aspen but as the only one with a sled I would be hauling some of the gear for our group. I was wondering if anyone has ridden out to the hut, it looks like you can ride Smuggler Mountain Rd out towards the hut but does anyone know how close you can get with out crossing over into wilderness, is it a difficult ride with extra gear, and has anyone been by the road recently, is there any snow. Any recomendations would be apreciated.
