I like to wait until it is showing around 30" at Sand Lake. Shouldn't be too far off now.

Took my first ride last year in late October and i think the snotel only showed like 20'' or so then. If you can get to the flats before you drop into Marie the wind blows a ton of snow on the north and east sides of those ridges and you usually can ride around safely and do some tunning. Just dont be an idiot and you should be fine.
