Snowies Clutching

...I was kidding about the 100mph stuff...on a steep pull with a good load on the track track speeds are in the mid 40's...

Just got back from the Snowies. Have a 155 Pro. Set up according to the chart that came with sled, 10-60 driver & blk/pur spring in driven, ran 8200 all day and top speed on trail was 85. Didn't do any major climbs so can't tell you how it works there.

thanks man!! How are you liking your sled? Where did you get spring and is it hard to change out? Im new to polaris

An old Polaris man who converted to the Rev and XPs now back home with Polaris. Like the sled still playin with suspension and gettin a feel for it. My neighbor has the SLP press for working on clutches. Changing the spring took a phone call to dealer on how to get it apart, and then a few tries to get it back together. That clutch press needs a little modification kept slipping off. I wondered about not having any clickers like the Doo for fine tuning, but every time I opened her up on the trail it ran 8200.

I have had a bunch of Revs, and several XPs, so Im excited to try something new. Since you have some experience with these clutches I was wondering if this is how our Team secondary comes apart and how to change out rear spring? I have a spring compressor already

85 MPH on the trail! Why? :tsk: That's why I don't ride the snowies anymore! I almost died lat year form someone like you, as I was coming out of the trees after looking both ways.

is the helix adjustable on these? How do I ensure I dont change the helix setting when reinstalling?

Helix is not adjustable. The stock helix only has one dual angle cut, 56/42 I believe. Many Team helix have two dual cuts (as in the above video), and you can place your rollers in one of the two cuts, but the stock one only has one, so you won't change the helix setting when reinstalling, unless you actually change the helix.

I found the 58s pulled best in the Snowies.
