SnoWest Project Trailer 2015: Building a "MORE" perfect trailer.

You know the season is winding down when your beloved Mirage Trailer has more MUD on them then snow after a long day's riding! But one of the things I most love about my trailer is that it CLEANS UP easy! Just a hose and a broom and she comes right back just as good as new!!

Just an advance heads up.
This trailer should be up FOR SALE in July.
After reviewing and submitting all the comments from trailer #2 to Mirage after this last season, we have begun designing trailer #3 for the 2015/2016 season.

Like last year, someone is going to get a killer deal on a nearly new custom trailer..

Somebody better be putting some money aside. I saw the trailer this winter and it is very cool. I'd like to have it but I think it might be a tad bit over overkill for a guy with no family.

Yup
This is definitely a 4-5 sled trailer.

Shoot me a rough idea on a price would you? I've got a buddy looking for one and could sell him mine and upgrade depending on what you think you need out of it. Thanks.

Honestly not a clue "YET".'
Price is determined once I get the cost on the new trailer from Mirage

Come on - you have a general idea based on what kind of deal you worked out the last time with them and what you sold the first one for:) $30, $25, $20, $15, $10, ?? Heck you may even start a bidding war if enough people are looking for a new to them decked out trailer.

Its actually determined by Mirage.
This is part of a 5 year plan of SnoWest working with Mirage to help them build a better trailer each year. When they give me the price of the new prototype 2016 trailer then I will know the sell price of the 2015.

let me see if I can come up with a general guesstimate.

Just as a GUESS, I would say it will sell for 25% off that price.

But I honestly will not know until I find out exactly what they are going to build for us this summer.

Now that it is warm and dry out, practice putting your tire chains on.

You have some of the side links twisted and they are put on inside out.

The side links should all be straight with no twists, the cross links should be straight with no cross-overs where they meet the side links and the cross link hooks should be facing out so they don't cut the tire sidewall.

I lay mine out before I install them so I can verify they are straight and positioned with the hook to the inside then grab the inside side chain @ 1/3 and 2/3 of the length and drape over the tire. I also have a rubber backed carpeted entry mat to lay on when hooking up chains to keep me off the ice and it acts like a mechanics creeper to get under the truck or trailer and back out again.

Happy trails.

Well that is shorter I guess. LOL Interested to see what the new trailer has for tweaks/changes compared to the last one.
I think for the greater part it will be MIGHTY similar to what we built last year.
What I am waiting to hear back from Mirage is whether or not they will be able to take all of our user comments and build some of them into this year's release.

If they are able to do that, we are really beginning to move from a Good Trail into a GREAT Trailer which was the point of this whole development project between us.
