This is concerning snowest starting to charge for there forums.
So here is what happens next. all your members are mad and know that the companys get gready. they are very succesfull with there forums, but you think, well we should start charging for this service that everyone uses. then all your costomers know that you are no longer a loyal company, and you want to rip us off. so you lose more than half of your costomers. but you dont care, your getting money for doing nothing from all your gullable costomers, we will all find a forum that will not charge to put adds online. ( which is very easy to do online for free) i promise you that your company will not succeed online. you will lose subscribers from your magazine as well. which by the way i was a subscriber to snowest. but not any more. good riddenz snowest. it was good while it lasted.

Who is getting ripped off? How is paying for a service getting ripped off? What is being taken away that belonged to you to begin with? I think paying $300 for a phone is rediculous so I dont buy an Iphone. I dont sit around at the AT&T kiosk and complain about how Im getting ripped off.

It would be different if the guys charging us actually contributed to any members questions with their snowmobiles. How about giving $.50 to each helpful post rating a member has. There is really no reason they should be making money off of the people on this site who have spent time working on their sleds and want to help fellow sledders out.

what service do they suddenly provide now that is such an improvement over the last 11 years? I'm pretty sure the majority of the info on here comes from the people that volunteer to share it. and where are you finding iPhones that cheap?

You obviously have no idea how to run an online business or have read any of the post sent to you buy snowest.

The forum has lost money in the past and because of it expansion and peoples interest in the site snowest decided to make it better, No part of this forum has ever been free to the people providing it, and has cost been a loss in the past. Any business with losses will be cut or upgraded at some point its just smart business.
So Snowest decided on doing more than a minor upgrade and went full out so those of us that pay could have a better experience. They could wind up with over $100,000 into this forum alone. plus continual payroll for those that keep it up and running, and if you don't work in this kind of field you have no idea what it takes.

Money for doing nothing, if its that easy then why dont you set up a site just like the old snowest and all will be great again. seeing how 24 posts makes you a contributor, This is your opinion and have every right to it, just think your miss informed.

This reminds me of welfare, Its Free right, truth is if you can afford a sled your the one helping pay for it.
